Therefore, I wasn’t surprised to see that the game is set in a luxurious studio with a red-and-gold color scheme and Asian aesthetics. Panels behind the table feature Chinese lattice patterns, and warm orange lighting behind them creates a cozy, intimate atmosphere.
The game is played on a brown wooden table with two brown bowls with one coin in it. The betting grid is front and center. Two panels on either side display statistics from previous rounds. They are useful for following the game history, although previous results have no influence on the outcome of the next round.
Dragon Dragon vs Other Asian-Style Games
Dragon Dragon’s name immediately brings Dragon Tiger to mind, but the similarity mostly ends with the name and Asian theme. Dragon Tiger is a fast card game in which you predict whether the Dragon or Tiger receives the higher card. What’s My Opinion on Dragon Dragon?
I really like that Evolution continues to bring traditional Asian games and concepts to the live casino market. Dragon Dragon feels different from the usual Roulette, Blackjack and Baccarat tables, and the physical coins and bowls give the game its own identity. I also appreciate the simplicity and the excellent 97.50% RTP across every bet.
Personally, though, Dragon Dragon isn’t really my type of game. With only three betting options, no multipliers and no Bonus games, there simply isn’t enough excitement for me. The coin shaking creates some anticipation before the reveal, but after playing for a while, I started to miss the possibility of something unexpected happening.
That doesn’t make Dragon Dragon a bad game. In fact, I think Evolution has done a good job with such a simple concept.
