Quick Summary
- Game concept: A fast-paced live baccarat variant from Pragmatic Play, featuring up to 115 rounds per hour.
- Lucky Card multipliers: Every round, five cards receive random multipliers from 2x to 200x. Matching cards in a winning hand can combine for bigger payouts.
- Maximum payouts: Up to 600:1 on Player or Banker, 6,600:1 on Tie, and an impressive 66,000:1 on the Amazing 8s side bet.
- RTP: Player offers the highest return at 98.80%, followed by Banker at 98.74%. The Amazing 8s side bet has a lower RTP of 93.52%.
- Betting costs: A 20% fee applies to all bets. A €10 wager therefore costs €12, making careful bankroll management important.
- Expert view: An exciting alternative to traditional baccarat, with impressive multipliers and a beautiful underwater studio. However, the lower RTP and costly side bets make it less attractive for value-focused players.

What is Amazing Baccarat?
Amazing Baccarat is the answer from Pragmatic Play to Speed Baccarat, combining traditional card gameplay with randomly assigned multipliers and a new side bet. The familiar Player, Banker, and Tie bets remain, but every round brings an extra layer of excitement through five Lucky Cards.
Before the cards are dealt, five randomly selected cards receive multipliers ranging from 2x to 200x. If one or more Lucky Cards appear in a winning hand, their multipliers can increase the payout. Multiple Lucky Cards can combine, creating the potential for much larger wins than in regular baccarat.
The game also introduces Amazing 8s, a side bet that rewards a specific tie result and offers the highest potential payout in the game. Unlike traditional baccarat, the side bets remain available throughout the game.
All this takes place in a colourful underwater studio, with a live dealer, vibrant animations, and a fast pace. The rules remain familiar to baccarat players, but the multipliers make every card reveal more exciting.
There is one important trade-off: Pragmatic Play charges a 20% fee on bets to support the enhanced payouts. That makes Amazing Baccarat a more expensive alternative to traditional baccarat, despite its impressive winning potential.
How to Play Amazing Baccarat
Place a Bet

You’ll have 10 seconds to choose Player, Banker, or Tie and place the desired bet amount between $0.02 and $5,000. The 20% fee will be added automatically.
Choose Optional Side Bets

While at it, you can also choose any of the three side bets: Player Pair, Banker Pair, or Amazing 8s. Bear in mind that using side bets diminishes the round’s RTP.
Wait for Multipliers

It is at this stage that the 5 Lucky Cards are chosen at random and displayed on the screen alongside their multipliers. The multipliers range between 2x and 200x, and they stack.
Watch Cards Being Dealt

Draped in a sleek purple, the dealer hands out two cards face-up to both Player and Banker. As per tableau rules, the dealer may draw a third card for either side.
The Result

The round ends and your winnings will be displayed on the screen. The cards are then collected and the new 10-second betting round can begin.
“Amazing Baccarat is all about an Underwater Atmosphere. The purple table adds a touch of class to the setting.
Dealers are also draped in sleek, Byzantine purple, which helps sell the whole underwater esthetic.”
Amazing Baccarat Paytable & RTP
Amazing Baccarat offers much higher potential payouts than traditional baccarat, thanks to its five Lucky Cards. However, these multipliers come at a price: a mandatory 20% fee applies to every bet.
The standard Player bet pays 1:1, while Banker pays 0.95:1 after the usual 5% commission. A Tie pays 5.5:1. When Lucky Cards appear in a winning hand, their multipliers are added together and can increase these payouts significantly.
Amazing Baccarat Payouts
| Bet Type | Standard Payout | Maximum Payout |
|---|---|---|
| Player | 1:1 | 600:1 |
| Banker | 0.95:1 | Up to 600:1 |
| Tie | 5.5:1 | 6,600:1 |
| Player Pair | 10:1 | 4,000:1 |
| Banker Pair | 10:1 | 4,000:1 |
| Amazing 8s | 55:1 | 66,000:1 |
Amazing 8s offers the highest potential payout. To win this side bet, both Player and Banker must finish with eight points. Lucky Cards can then boost the payout even further. However, these exceptionally large wins are rare.
How Does the 20% Fee Work?
Pragmatic Play charges an additional 20% on every wager, including side bets. For example:
- A €5 bet costs €6 in total.
- A €10 bet costs €12 in total.
- A €50 bet costs €60 in total.
The fee is added on top of your selected stake and does not count towards the table’s minimum or maximum betting limits.
This extra cost is important when comparing Amazing Baccarat with regular baccarat. The multipliers create bigger winning opportunities, but you pay extra for that feature on every round.
Amazing Baccarat RTP
| Bet Type | RTP | House Edge |
|---|---|---|
| Player | 98.80% | 1.20% |
| Banker | 98.74% | 1.26% |
| Tie | 93.48% | 6.52% |
| Player Pair | 92.16% | 7.84% |
| Banker Pair | 92.16% | 7.84% |
| Amazing 8s | 93.52% | 6.48% |
Player offers the best theoretical return at 98.80%, slightly ahead of Banker at 98.74%. This is different from traditional baccarat, where Banker normally offers the highest RTP.
The side bets are considerably less favourable. Player Pair and Banker Pair return just 92.16%, while Amazing 8s offers 93.52%. Its enormous maximum payout does not make it a better-value bet.
Our Expert View
I like the extra excitement that Lucky Cards bring to baccarat, but the RTP figures tell an important story. Player and Banker are clearly the strongest choices mathematically, while Tie and the side bets carry a much higher house edge.
If you enjoy chasing big multipliers, Amazing Baccarat offers plenty of excitement. However, players who prefer the lowest possible house edge will generally find better value in traditional baccarat.
Pros and Cons of Amazing Baccarat
- Five Lucky Cards with multipliers up to 200x.
- Excellent interface on both desktop and mobile.
- Fast gameplay with up to 115 rounds per hour.
- Smooth gameplay without technical issues during our tests.
- Mandatory 20% fee on every bet.
- Low RTP on side bets, especially Player Pair and Banker Pair (92.16%).
- Complicated side bet restrictions after 50 and 60 hands.
- Maximum payout limits vary considerably between casinos.
Side Bets in Amazing Baccarat
Amazing Baccarat offers three side bets: Player Pair, Banker Pair, and the new Amazing 8s. All three can benefit from Lucky Card multipliers, but they also have a considerably lower RTP than the main Player and Banker bets.
Player Pair
Player Pair wins when the first two cards dealt to Player have the same rank, regardless of their suits. This includes Perfect Pairs (identical rank and suit), Coloured Pairs (same rank and colour), and Mixed Pairs (same rank but different colours).
The standard payout is 10:1, with potential multiplier-enhanced payouts of up to 4,000:1. The RTP is 92.16%.
Banker Pair
Banker Pair works the same way, but only the Banker’s first two cards count. Any pair of matching ranks qualifies, regardless of colour or suit.
Like Player Pair, it pays 10:1 before multipliers, offers potential payouts of up to 4,000:1, and has an RTP of 92.16%.
Amazing 8s
Amazing 8s is the game’s signature side bet. It wins when both Player and Banker finish with exactly eight points, resulting in an 8–8 tie.
The standard payout is 55:1, but Lucky Card multipliers can increase it to an impressive 66,000:1. That makes Amazing 8s the highest-paying bet in the game.
However, its RTP is only 93.52%, meaning the house edge is 6.48%. The enormous potential payout comes with a significant mathematical disadvantage compared to the main bets.
My Take on the Side Bets
Personally, I still prefer Perfect Pairs, one of my favourite baccarat side bets. I like the excitement of seeing two matching cards appear immediately, especially when they form a Perfect Pair.
Amazing 8s has a spectacular maximum payout, but waiting for a specific 8–8 tie doesn’t appeal to me as much. It feels more like chasing a rare jackpot than enjoying the regular baccarat action.
For occasional entertainment, Amazing 8s can be interesting. However, with all three side bets offering an RTP below 94%, I prefer keeping most of my attention on the main Player and Banker bets.
Bet Limits and Maximum Payouts
Bet limits and maximum payouts vary between casinos. During our checks at three casinos, we found maximum payouts ranging from €50,000 to €500,000 per round.
The theoretical payout ratios remain the same, with Amazing 8s offering up to 66,000:1. However, your actual winnings are subject to the casino’s maximum payout limit.
A mandatory 20% fee applies to every bet and is added on top of your selected stake.
Amazing Baccarat vs Lightning Baccarat vs Speed Baccarat
Amazing Baccarat combines the fast gameplay of Speed Baccarat with random multipliers, making it an interesting alternative to Evolution’s Lightning Baccarat. But how do these three games compare?
| Feature | Amazing Baccarat | Lightning Baccarat | Speed Baccarat |
|---|---|---|---|
| Provider | Pragmatic Play | Evolution | Pragmatic Play |
| Game Type | Speed Baccarat with multipliers | Baccarat with multipliers | Traditional Speed Baccarat |
| Random Multipliers | 5 Lucky Cards, 2x–200x | Lightning Cards with multipliers | None |
| Highest RTP | 98.80% | 98.76% | Approximately 98.94% |
| Additional Fee | 20% on every bet | Lightning Fee applies | No additional multiplier fee |
| Special Features | Combined multipliers, Amazing 8s | Lightning multipliers | Fast dealing and traditional rules |
| Gameplay | Very fast | Fast | Very fast |
| Best For | Players who enjoy high multipliers and fast rounds | Baccarat fans who enjoy Lightning multipliers | Players who prefer traditional baccarat odds |
Which Game Would I Choose?
If you enjoy multipliers and the possibility of very large payouts, Amazing Baccarat is an exciting choice. Its five Lucky Cards and Amazing 8s side bet offer more variety than traditional baccarat.
Lightning Baccarat is another attractive option for multiplier fans, while Speed Baccarat is my preference when I want a straightforward game without additional multiplier fees.
Personally, I like the presentation and fast gameplay of Amazing Baccarat. However, if getting the highest possible RTP is my priority, I would choose traditional Speed Baccarat instead.
Amazing Baccarat Tips & Strategies
Amazing Baccarat is a game of chance, and no strategy can predict which cards will appear or when Lucky Card multipliers will boost a winning hand. However, choosing the right bets and managing your bankroll can make a real difference to your playing experience.
Here are my tips based on our three test sessions.
Choose Player for the Best RTP
Player offers the highest theoretical return at 98.80%, slightly ahead of Banker at 98.74%. The difference is small, but if you want the best mathematical option, Player is the way to go.
Both bets offer considerably better value than Tie (93.48%) or any of the three side bets. Remember that the Lucky Card multipliers are already included in the game’s theoretical RTP figures.
Always Include the 20% Fee in Your Budget
Amazing Baccarat charges an additional 20% on every bet. If you place a €10 wager, the actual cost is €12. A €25 bet costs €30.
This fee does not increase your potential multiplier payout, so always calculate your spending based on the total amount deducted from your balance.
I recommend reducing your usual baccarat stake to account for this extra cost. For example, if you normally spend €10 per round, a base bet of €8 costs €9.60 including the fee.
Understand the Lucky Card Multipliers
Five Lucky Cards receive multipliers between 2x and 200x every round. When one or more appear in a winning hand, their values can combine to increase your payout.
You cannot predict which cards will receive multipliers or whether they will appear in the winning hand. A round with several high multipliers on display does not necessarily mean a big win.
Enjoy the extra excitement, but never increase your stake simply because the multipliers look promising.
Be Careful with Amazing 8s
Amazing 8s offers the game’s biggest potential payout at 66,000:1, but its RTP is only 93.52%. That means a house edge of 6.48%, compared with just 1.20% on Player.
During our tests, we also discovered that the betting restrictions are easy to overlook. We could initially place an Amazing 8s bet equal to our main bet on the first hand of a new shoe. From the second hand, the 20% restriction applied.
Further restrictions after 50 and 60 hands make this side bet even less flexible. Check the available betting limits before every wager rather than assuming you can repeat your previous stake.
Don’t Chase Big Multipliers or Losing Streaks
The 66,000:1 maximum payout looks spectacular, but winning combinations that reach this level are extremely rare. Even smaller multiplier wins are not guaranteed to occur regularly.
Previous results do not make a particular outcome more likely in the next round. Increasing your stakes after several losses, or because you feel a big multiplier is due, does not improve your chances.
With up to 115 rounds per hour, your balance can change quickly. Set a spending limit before you start and take regular breaks.
My Strategy Verdict
Personally, I prefer sticking mainly to Player bets. They offer the highest RTP, and the Lucky Cards already provide plenty of excitement without adding expensive side bets.
I occasionally enjoy a small side bet for variety, but Amazing 8s is not something I would play regularly. The high potential payout is tempting, yet the lower RTP and additional betting restrictions make it less attractive.
My advice is simple: keep your stakes manageable, understand the extra fee, and enjoy the multipliers without chasing them. Amazing Baccarat is more entertaining when you focus on the gameplay rather than expecting a huge win.
Who Is Amazing Baccarat Best Suited For?
| Best Suited For | Not Suited For |
|---|---|
| Baccarat fans who enjoy random multipliers and bigger potential wins. | Players who prefer traditional baccarat without extra features. |
| Players who enjoy fast gameplay with up to 115 rounds per hour. | Players who prefer a slower, more relaxed pace. |
| Players attracted by potential payouts of up to 66,000:1. | Players who prefer frequent small wins over rare large payouts. |
| Mobile players who appreciate a clear and easy-to-use interface. | Players looking for interactive bonus rounds or game-show features. |
| Experienced baccarat players who understand the betting rules and restrictions. | Beginners who prefer simple betting rules without additional fees. |
Expert View: Amazing Baccarat is a good choice for experienced baccarat players who want more excitement from random multipliers. I particularly like the fast gameplay and excellent interface on both desktop and mobile. However, the mandatory 20% fee, lower RTP on side bets, and complicated betting restrictions make it less attractive for beginners or players who prefer traditional baccarat.

What’s My Opinion on Amazing Baccarat?
I enjoyed playing Amazing Baccarat during our three test sessions. Pragmatic Play has created an entertaining version of baccarat that combines fast gameplay with the excitement of random multipliers. The five Lucky Cards add something extra to every round, and I like how several multipliers can combine to create much bigger payouts.
What impressed me most was the interface. Both the desktop and mobile versions are excellent. All seven betting options are easy to use, the multipliers are clearly visible, and everything runs smoothly. We experienced no technical problems during our sessions. The underwater studio also looks great, although I would have liked a little more interaction from the dealers.
However, I have mixed feelings about the betting rules. The mandatory 20% fee takes some getting used to, and the restrictions on Amazing 8s are unnecessarily complicated. During our tests, we could place a much larger Amazing 8s bet on the first hand of a new shoe than on the following hands. The additional restrictions after 50 and 60 hands make it even harder for beginners to understand what they can bet.
Personally, I would mainly stick to Player bets, which offer the highest RTP at 98.80%. The Lucky Cards already make the game exciting enough without regularly adding side bets with much lower returns.
My verdict: Amazing Baccarat is a very enjoyable live baccarat variation with excellent presentation, smooth gameplay, and impressive winning potential. I would happily play it again, but I prefer its main bets over the expensive side bets. It is a game I recommend to experienced baccarat fans who enjoy multipliers, provided they understand the additional fee and betting restrictions.
FAQs
Amazing Baccarat is a live Speed Baccarat game from Pragmatic Play. It follows traditional baccarat rules but adds five Lucky Cards with random multipliers between 2x and 200x. These multipliers can increase payouts on winning hands.
Five Lucky Cards receive random multipliers between 2x and 200x each round. If these cards appear in a winning hand, their multipliers can combine to increase the payout. The maximum payout depends on the bet type and the casino’s payout limit.
Amazing Baccarat adds a mandatory 20% fee to every wager. For example, a €10 bet costs €12 in total. This fee is separate from your base stake and does not increase the multiplier payout. It is part of the game’s betting structure.
The highest theoretical payout is 66,000:1 on the Amazing 8s side bet. Player and Banker can pay up to 600:1, while Tie can reach 6,600:1. However, casinos set their own maximum payout limits. During our checks, these ranged from €50,000 to €500,000 per round.
Amazing 8s is a side bet that wins when both Player and Banker finish with a total of eight, resulting in an 8–8 tie. It offers payouts from 55:1 up to 66,000:1 when Lucky Card multipliers apply. Its RTP is 93.52%.
Amazing 8s has special betting restrictions linked to your main bets and the number of hands played. Always check the current betting limits before placing your wager.
