What is Fortune 6 Baccarat?
Fortune 6 Baccarat is a live baccarat variant from Pragmatic Play. The basic rules remain unchanged: you bet on Player, Banker, or Tie and try to predict which hand finishes closest to nine.
The main difference is the addition of five optional side bets: Player Fortune Pair, Banker Fortune Pair, Player 6, Banker 6 and Fortune 6. These can be played alongside the main bets or on their own.
The signature Fortune 6 bet rewards sequences of sixes and can pay up to 120:1. However, during our tests at three casinos in two countries, we found that this bet was only available for the first five rounds of each shoe.
How to Play Fortune 6 Baccarat
Launch Fortune 6 Baccarat

Log in to your casino account and go to the Live Casino section. Use the search bar or browse the live games until you find Fortune 6 Baccarat. Click on the game to open the live table and join the action.
Place Your Bets

Choose your chip value and place your bets on Player, Banker, or Tie. You can also choose any of the five optional side bets if you want extra chances to win. You have about 12 seconds to place all your bets before the timer ends.\
Watch the Round

The dealer deals two cards to both the Player and Banker sides. The hand with a total closest to nine wins the round. If your bet matches the winning outcome, you receive a payout according to the paytable.
Collect Your Winnings

All payouts are made automatically, and the next round begins right away. You can keep playing or adjust your bet size between rounds.
“I like the extra betting options in Fortune 6 Baccarat, but its most interesting feature comes with a catch: you only get five rounds per shoe to place the Fortune 6 bet.”
Side Bets of Fortune 6 Baccarat
Fortune 6 Baccarat has five optional side bets that you can play alongside the regular Player, Banker and Tie bets. You can also place these side bets without making a main bet. They add more payout potential, but the RTP varies considerably between them.
| Side Bet | What Needs to Happen | Max Payout | RTP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Player Fortune Pair | First two Player cards form a suited hand or pair | 9:1 | 97.83% |
| Banker Fortune Pair | First two Banker cards form a suited hand or pair | 9:1 | 97.83% |
| Player 6 | Player wins with a total of 6 | 14:1 | 95.62% |
| Banker 6 | Banker wins with a total of 6 | 16:1 | 93.36% |
| Fortune 6 | One, two or three consecutive 6s are dealt | 120:1 | 96.26% |
Player and Banker Fortune Pair
The two Fortune Pair bets look at the first two cards dealt to the selected hand. There are three winning combinations:
- Two cards of the same suit pay 1:1.
- Two cards of the same value pay 5:1.
- A pair of the same value and suit pays 9:1.
Both Player Fortune Pair and Banker Fortune Pair have an RTP of 97.83%, making them the highest-RTP side bets in the game.
Player 6 and Banker 6
These bets win when the selected hand wins with a total of 6. Player 6 pays 14:1, while Banker 6 pays 16:1.
There is one important exception. Player 6 pushes if Banker has a natural hand, while Banker 6 pushes if Player has a natural. Your side-bet stake is returned in these situations.
The RTP is 95.62% for Player 6 and 93.36% for Banker 6.
Fortune 6
Fortune 6 is the signature side bet and offers the game’s highest payout. It looks for consecutive cards worth six points at the start of either the Player or Banker hand:
| Result | Payout |
|---|---|
| First card is a 6 | 3:1 |
| First two cards are both 6 | 30:1 |
| First three cards are all 6 | 120:1 |
The Fortune 6 side bet has an RTP of 96.26%.
There is an important restriction that is easy to miss: Fortune 6 is only available for the first five rounds of each shoe. After round five, the betting position remains visible on the table but becomes inactive.
We checked this at three casinos in two different countries and found the same rule at all three. It is worth knowing before you play because the game itself does not make the change particularly obvious.
Expert View
The side bets give Fortune 6 Baccarat considerably more variety than standard baccarat, but their value differs. The Fortune Pair bets have an attractive 97.83% RTP, while Banker 6 drops to 93.36%. The signature Fortune 6 bet is more exciting with its 120:1 top payout, but its five-round limit is something Pragmatic Play should explain much more clearly during play.
Payout Table
| Betting Option | Payout | RTP |
|---|---|---|
| Player | 1:1 | 98.76% |
| Banker | 0.95:1 | 98.94% |
| Tie | 8:1 | 85.64% |
| Player Fortune Pair / Banker Fortune Pair | 2 Card Flush – 1:1 Any Pair – 5:1 Suited Pair – 9:1 | 97.83% |
| Player 6 | 14:1 | 95.62% |
| Banker 6 | 16:1 | 93.36% |
| Fortune 6 | One 6 – 3:1 Two 6s – 30:1 Three 6s – 120:1 | 96.26% |
Note: Player 6 and Banker 6 push when the opposing hand has a natural. The Fortune 6 side bet is only available during the first five rounds of each shoe.
Game Interface Explained
The Fortune 6 Baccarat interface will feel familiar if you have played other live baccarat games from Pragmatic Play. The main Player, Banker and Tie bets are easy to find, with the five additional side bets positioned around them.
With eight betting options, the table is naturally busier than standard baccarat. We found the layout clear and comfortable to use on desktop. On mobile, everything remains easy to operate, although the smaller screen makes the betting area feel more crowded.
The interface also includes baccarat roads showing previous results, bet history, and live chat. Remember that the roads only show what happened in previous rounds and cannot predict future results.
One interface issue stood out during our tests. After the first five rounds of a shoe, the Fortune 6 betting position remains visible but becomes inactive. It is no longer highlighted, and you cannot place a bet on it. There is no clear on-screen explanation telling you why this happens. We had to open the detailed game information to find the rule.
Expert View: The interface works well overall, particularly on desktop, but Pragmatic Play should make it much clearer when and why the signature Fortune 6 bet becomes unavailable.

Tips & Strategies for Fortune 6 Baccarat
Fortune 6 Baccarat is mainly a game of chance, so there is no strategy that can predict which hand will win. However, you can make better-informed betting decisions by understanding the RTP and how the side bets work.
Banker Offers the Highest RTP
If you mainly care about RTP, Banker is the strongest bet at 98.94%, closely followed by Player at 98.76%. The Tie bet drops sharply to just 85.64%.
This does not mean Banker will win the next hand. It simply has the highest theoretical return over a very large number of rounds.
Compare the Side Bets Before Using Them
The five side bets are not equal. Player Fortune Pair and Banker Fortune Pair both have an RTP of 97.83%, while Banker 6 drops to 93.36%.
Higher payouts can look attractive, but always consider the RTP as well as the potential prize.
Fortune 6 Is Only Available for Five Rounds
If you want to try the signature Fortune 6 side bet, remember that you only have the first five rounds of each shoe to use it. After that, the betting position remains on screen but becomes inactive.
Fortune 6 has an RTP of 96.26% and can pay 120:1 for three consecutive sixes.
Don’t Use the Roads to Predict the Next Hand
Fortune 6 Baccarat includes the familiar baccarat roads showing previous Player and Banker results. They can be useful for reviewing what has happened, but they cannot tell you what will happen next.
A long Banker or Player streak does not make either outcome due to win or lose on the following hand.
Set a Budget for Side Bets
With eight betting options on the table, it is easy to place several bets in the same round. This can make your total stake increase quickly.
Decide your total stake per round first and treat side bets as part of that amount rather than automatically adding them on top.
Expert Tip
For the best theoretical return, stick mainly to Banker or Player. If you want the extra variety that makes Fortune 6 Baccarat different from regular baccarat, the Fortune Pair bets offer the strongest RTP of the five side bets at 97.83%.
Who Is Fortune 6 Baccarat Best Suited For?
| Best Suited For | Less Suitable For |
|---|---|
| Baccarat players who want more betting options | Players who prefer simple, traditional baccarat |
| Players who enjoy side bets | Players looking for bonus rounds or multipliers |
| RTP-conscious players who mainly bet on Player or Banker | Players who frequently bet on Tie |
| Players who like occasional higher payouts | Players looking for very large 1,000x+ wins |
| Desktop players who prefer a spacious betting layout | Mobile players who dislike busy interfaces |
Fortune 6 Baccarat is best suited to players who like classic baccarat but want more variety. The five side bets add extra choices without changing the basic game. However, there are no bonus rounds or random multipliers, and the maximum 120:1 payout is modest compared with more feature-heavy live casino games.
Fortune 6 Baccarat vs Lightning Baccarat
Fortune 6 Baccarat and Lightning Baccarat both add extra win potential to traditional baccarat, but they take very different approaches.
| Fortune 6 Baccarat | Lightning Baccarat | |
|---|---|---|
| Provider | Pragmatic Play | Evolution |
| Main feature | Five optional side bets | Random Lightning Cards and multipliers |
| Best RTP | 98.94% | 98.76% |
| Feature payouts | Up to 120:1 | Much larger multiplied payouts |
| Extra cost | No extra fee on main bets | 20% Lightning Fee |
| Feature availability | Fortune 6 only first 5 rounds of shoe | Lightning feature every round |
| Gameplay style | Traditional baccarat with extra bets | Baccarat with random multipliers |
Fortune 6 Baccarat stays closer to traditional baccarat. You can simply play Player or Banker, while the five optional side bets add extra choices when you want them. Banker also offers the higher optimal RTP at 98.94%.
Lightning Baccarat changes every round by selecting between one and five Lightning Cards, each with a random 2x to 8x multiplier. Matching Lightning Cards in a winning hand can multiply the payout several times. This creates much bigger theoretical prizes than Fortune 6, but Evolution charges a 20% Lightning Fee on your total bet.
There is another important difference. Lightning Cards and multipliers are generated every round, while the signature Fortune 6 side bet is only available during the first five rounds of each shoe. After that, Fortune 6 becomes much closer to regular baccarat with additional side bets.
Expert View: Fortune 6 is the better fit if you want traditional baccarat with optional extras, while Lightning Baccarat changes the core experience with multipliers every round. Lightning offers far bigger win potential, but the 20% Lightning Fee is an important trade-off.

What’s My Opinion on Fortune 6 Baccarat?
I have always enjoyed baccarat, especially because the basic game is fast and easy to follow. Fortune 6 Baccarat adds some interesting side bets, but I have mixed feelings about its main feature.
I find it strange that the Fortune 6 side bet is only available for the first five hands of each shoe. After that, the betting option stays visible but can no longer be used. Since it can take a long time before the shoe is replaced, the feature that gives the game its name is unavailable for most of your session.
For me, that makes Fortune 6 more frustrating than useful. The other side bets still add variety, and the core baccarat game remains enjoyable, but I would much prefer a version where the signature bet stays available throughout the shoe.
Expert View: Fortune 6 Baccarat is a solid baccarat variant with good side-bet variety and an excellent 98.94% RTP on Banker. However, limiting its signature Fortune 6 bet to just five hands per shoe feels unnecessarily restrictive and reduces the appeal of what should be the game’s standout feature.
