What is Knockout Baccarat?

Knockout Baccarat is a live casino baccarat variant developed by Ezugi. It follows the classic rules of traditional Baccarat, where you bet on the Player, Banker, or a Tie. What makes Knockout Baccarat different is the addition of special side bets that enhance the game’s excitement and strategy.

In this version, you can place bets on:

  • Player Natural: The Player gets a natural 8 or 9
  • Banker Natural: The Banker gets a natural 8 or 9
  • Winning Total: Predict the exact total of the winning hand

These extra bets give players more ways to win while keeping the simple and familiar Baccarat gameplay intact. With an RTP of up to 98.94%, Knockout Baccarat offers the same strong return as classic Baccarat, but with more engaging betting options.

How to Play Knockout Baccarat

Place Your Bets

Knockout Baccarat Place your bet

Before the cards are dealt, choose where to place your chips. You can bet on Player, Banker, or Tie, and optionally add side bets like Player Natural, Banker Natural, or Winning Total.

Cards Are Dealt

Knockout Baccarat Cards reveiled

Two hands are dealt: one for the Player and one for the Banker. Each hand starts with two cards from an eight-deck shoe.

Hand Values Are Calculated

Cards count as follows:
– Aces = 1
– Cards 2-9 = face value
– 10, Jack, Queen, King = 0
Only the last digit of the total counts (for example, 16 becomes 6).

Third Card Rule Applies

Knockout Baccarat third card

Depending on the initial totals, the dealer draws a third card for the Player and/or Banker. This follows standard Baccarat rules.

The Winning Hand Is Paid

Knockout Baccarat Payout

The hand closest to 9 wins. If your main bet or side bet is correct, you receive the payout shown in the payout table.

“What I like about Knockout Baccarat is that it keeps the classic feel, but the Natural and Winning Total side bets make every round more engaging.

You’re not just waiting for Player or Banker anymore.”

Gameplay of Knockout Baccarat

Knockout Baccarat plays just like classic Baccarat, so even beginners can understand it easily. A live dealer hosts the game and uses eight decks of cards.

In every round, two hands are dealt:

  • The Player hand
  • The Banker hand

Your goal is to predict which hand will end up closest to a total of 9.

Card values are simple:

  • Aces are worth 1
  • Cards from 2 to 9 keep their face value
  • 10, Jack, Queen, and King are worth 0

Only the last digit of the total counts. For example, a hand with 7 + 8 = 15 becomes a value of 5.

After the first two cards are dealt, the game may draw a third card for the Player and/or Banker. This follows fixed Baccarat rules and happens automatically, so you don’t need to make any decisions.

The hand closest to 9 wins the round. If both hands have the same value, the result is a Tie.

Side Bets

What makes Knockout Baccarat special is the extra side bets, which give you more ways to win than in standard Baccarat.

Player Natural

This bet wins if the Player hand gets a Natural 8 or 9 with the first two cards. A “Natural” means no third card is drawn.

Banker Natural

This works the same way as Player Natural, but now you bet on the Banker getting a Natural 8 or 9.

Winning Total

With this bet, you try to predict the exact final total of the winning hand. You can usually bet on groups of totals, such as:

  • 1–4
  • 5–6
  • 7
  • 8
  • 9

If your chosen total matches the winning hand, the bet pays out. If the round ends in a Tie, most Winning Total bets are pushed or lost, depending on the result.

Why the Side Bets Are Interesting

These side bets make Knockout Baccarat more exciting because:

  • You’re not only betting on who wins
  • You’re also predicting how they win
  • This keeps you more involved in every round

In short, Knockout Baccarat keeps the simplicity of classic Baccarat, but the side bets add an extra layer of strategy and fun.
