What Is Mega Ball?
Mega Ball Live by Evolution is a fast-paced live game show inspired by bingo. Players buy cards, match numbers, and can trigger the Mega Ball for huge multipliers of up to 1,000,000x.
With simple rules and massive win potential, Mega Ball is one of the most accessible and exciting live casino games.
How to Play Mega Ball
Buy Your Cards

Choose how many cards you want, up to 400. Pick the value for each card, from €0.10 to €100.
Wait for the Balls

The game draws 20 balls from a machine with 51 balls. Numbers on your cards get marked automatically.
Watch Your Cards Update

The game shows your best card on top. You need to make lines of five numbers in a row. Lines can go across, down, or diagonally.
Play the Mega Ball Round

At the end, a random multiplier (5x to 100x) appears. Then one ball is drawn. If this ball makes a winning line on your card, your payout is multiplied.
See the Results

Your winnings show on screen. The more lines you make, the bigger your win.
“Mega Ball Live is a fast bingo-style game that feels far more lively than standard bingo.“
Mega Ball Card Structure Explained
Each Mega Ball card uses a 5×5 grid with a total of 25 spaces. The center space is a free spot, so every card contains 24 numbers.
The numbers range from 1 to 51, and each card is randomly generated. You can win by completing one of the 12 possible lines on the card, including:
- Horizontal lines
- Vertical lines
- Diagonal lines
To win, your numbers must match the numbers drawn during the round. If you complete a line and match the final Mega Ball, your winnings are multiplied.
This simple bingo-style layout makes Mega Ball easy to understand while still offering big win potential.
Buying more cards increases your chances of completing winning lines, although it slightly lowers the theoretical RTP. Players therefore trade a small amount of long-term value for more action and more opportunities to benefit from Mega Ball multipliers.
Multipliers & Max Win
The biggest feature in Mega Ball is the multiplier system:
- Multipliers range from 5x up to 1,000,000x
- Activated when the Mega Ball hits your winning line
- Higher multipliers appear less frequently
This is what makes Mega Ball one of the highest-paying live game shows.
Payouts
In Mega Ball, payouts are calculated per card. The more lines you complete on a single card, the higher the multiplier for that card. Your stake per card also plays an important role since payouts scale with your bet size.
| NUMBER OF LINES PER CARD | PAYOUT |
|---|---|
| 1 | 1x Your Bet |
| 2 | 5x Your Bet |
| 3 | 50x Your Bet |
| 4 | 250x Your Bet |
| 5 | 1,000x Your Bet |
| 6 or more | 10,000x Your Bet |
If you are lucky enough to hit multiple lines on a single card, the excitement really builds up. Keep in mind that the maximum payout is capped at €500,000 per round, which is standard in most live casino games.

Note:
- The multiplier is only applied if your winning line includes the Mega Ball.
- Higher line combinations are much harder to hit but offer significantly bigger rewards.
- Maximum win is capped (usually €500,000 depending on the casino).
One or Two Mega Balls Are Drawn
After the 20 regular balls are drawn, one Mega Ball is added, and occasionally a second one. Each carries a random multiplier between 5x and 100x.
If the Mega Ball completes a line on your card, the payout for that card is multiplied. This can significantly increase your winnings. From my own experience, multipliers often land somewhere between 10x and 15x, which already feels rewarding.
Statistically, the average is just above 11x, but now and then, much bigger multipliers appear, and that is when the game becomes truly thrilling.
If two Mega Balls are drawn and both land on the same card, only the highest multiplier is applied.
User Interface

Playing Mega Ball is straightforward to grasp, even for beginners. Here is an explanation of the user interface:
- Numbers Needed To Win
As you play, the game highlights in gold the numbered balls you need to form a winning line above your cards. It constantly updates the numbers you need to win throughout the round. When the game generates a Mega Ball multiplier, it also shows your potential winnings. - Ball History
The drawn balls are automatically updated and shown on your screen. You can also see how many balls are left to be drawn. - Payouts
The payout information updates based on the size of your bet. The paytable will show the potential payouts if you win on 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or more lines. - Total Win
During the game, your winnings are updated while the balls are drawn. - Autoplay
Once you have placed a bet, Autoplay lets you automatically repeat your bet by adding the same number and value of cards for a chosen number of game rounds.
Visuals and Atmosphere
I personally like how Evolution manages to make you feel part of a game show. The sound effects, lighting changes, and quick camera angles keep your eyes on the screen and give Mega Ball a real entertainment vibe.
The user interface is clean and very easy to use. It works well when you buy more cards, and on a desktop, it looks fantastic. On mobile, it is a bit less impressive in my opinion, but still perfectly playable.
What Is the Return to Player (RTP)?
The Return to Player (RTP) in Mega Ball is up to 95.40 percent. In practice, it usually sits between 95.05 and 95.40 percent, depending on the casino setup.
RTP shows how much a game pays back to players on average over the long run. For example, if a game has a 95% RTP, it returns about €95 for every €100 wagered.
Of course, this does not mean you will always get that amount back in a single session. Mega Ball is a volatile game. Some players may hit big multipliers and walk away with a great win, while others may go through a session without much luck.
What Is the Volatility in Mega Ball?
While RTP shows the long-term expected return, volatility tells you what kind of experience you can expect during each playing session. Mega Ball is considered a high-volatility game.
This means results can swing heavily. You might go through several rounds without hitting much, and then suddenly a big win appears when the Mega Ball multiplier connects.
For me, this is exactly what makes Mega Ball so entertaining. I like the constant small wins from multiple cards, but I also know that the real thrill comes when a big multiplier drops.
It is not a game for players who want very steady and predictable results. Instead, it is better suited if you enjoy risk, excitement, and the chance of hitting a huge payout in just one round.
How you play can also affect the volatility of your own session:
- Many low-value cards → lower volatility, smaller but more frequent wins, longer sessions.
- Fewer high-value cards → higher volatility, less frequent wins but bigger potential payouts, shorter sessions.
This balance is part of the fun and one of the things you can control in Mega Ball.
Mega Ball RTP and Volatility Compared to Other Games
To give you some context, here is how Mega Ball compares to other popular Evolution live casino games:
| GAME | RTP | VOLATILITY |
|---|---|---|
| Mega Ball | 95.05 – 95.40% | High |
| Dream Catcher | 96.58% | Low to Medium |
| Crazy Time | 95.41% | High |
| MONOPOLY Live | 96.23% | Medium to High |
| Lightning Roulette | 97.10% | High |
Strategy for Playing Mega Ball
Mega Ball is mostly a game of chance, but you can still use a smart strategy to improve your results and manage your bankroll.
What you can do, however, is use a personal strategy that keeps your sessions fun, helps you stay in control of your budget, and sometimes allows you to walk away with a nice win.
Choose the Right Number of Cards
The number of cards you play has a big impact:
More cards: higher chance to hit a winning line
Fewer cards: higher RTP and lower risk
Best approach:
Play 10–50 cards to balance win frequency and return.
Manage Your Bankroll
Mega Ball can be volatile, especially with high multipliers.
- Set a clear budget before you start
- Avoid increasing your bet after losses
- Keep your sessions short and controlled
This helps you stay in the game longer.
Understand RTP vs Risk
Mega Ball has a flexible RTP:
- Lower bets = higher RTP (up to ~96%)
- More cards = lower RTP but more hits
Decide what matters more:
- Frequent small wins
- Or chasing big multipliers
Focus on the Mega Ball Moment
The biggest wins come from the Mega Ball:
- Multipliers can reach up to 1,000,000x
- You only win big if your line includes the Mega Ball
Always remember:
The real value of the game comes from this final stage.
Keep It Simple
There is no complex system that guarantees wins.
- Every round is independent
- Results are completely random
- No pattern tracking works
The best strategy is consistency and discipline.
“Mega Ball works best when you find your own balance between risk, number of cards, and budget. Play smart, stay in control, and enjoy the chance to hit a massive multiplier.“
My Results in Different Sessions Playing
Just like I do with all the other live casino games, I played a few sessions of Mega Ball. Every session, I played for 1 hour and started with a bankroll of €50. Here are my results from those sessions:
First session
In the first session, I started with just 5 cards with a value of €0,20. In the first 20 games, I only had 7 times one line on a card and nothing more.
So that leads to a loss of almost €19,00. For the rest of the session, I had some nice winnings now and then.
The best I did was a Mega Ball with 10x, completing the second line on a card. That gave me a win of 40x. I ended the session with a bankroll of €28,80, a loss of €21,20.
Second session
In the second session, I decided to play 10 cards with a value of €0,50. That wasn’t a wise decision. I only won some small prizes, and my bankroll vanished in 40 minutes. So that was a loss of €50.
Third session
In the third session, I went all the way. I played the maximum number of cards, 200. The value of the cards was €0,05 per card. So each round cost me €5. But I got lucky a few times.
The best score was a Mega Ball of 25x, completing the third line on 3 cards at the same time. That resulted in a win on each card of 1250x. That gave me a payout of €62,50 x 3 = €187,50 for these three cards together.
To be honest, I should have stopped then, but I finished the session after 1 hour with a small profit of €33,00.
Fourth session
In the final session, I played 10 cards at the same time with a value of €0,10 per card. After a win of more than €1, I doubled the value of the cards.
I had a crazy run. I had 4 wins in a row with a win of more than the total bet. So after the third win, I raised the value of the 10 cards to €0,80.
That’s when the miracle happened. Mega Ball wheel ended on 100x and the Mega Ball filled op a second row on a card. That gave me a 400x win. I ended the session with a great bankroll, € 214,50. A win of €164,50.
After my sessions, I can tell you that there is no perfect strategy. You’ve got to get lucky. I don’t think this game is exciting enough for me. But I must admit, the big winnings gave me a thrill.

What’s My Opinion on Mega Ball?
Mega Ball is definitely worth playing if you enjoy simple gameplay with big win potential.
What makes this game stand out is the combination of easy rules and massive multipliers up to 1,000,000x. You don’t need any experience to start playing, and every round builds up to the exciting Mega Ball moment where the biggest wins happen.
However, it’s important to understand that Mega Ball is highly volatile. You may go several rounds without hitting a strong multiplier, especially if you play with fewer cards.
Although Mega Ball has been available for several years, it remains one of Evolution’s most accessible game shows. Its simple rules, quick rounds, and regular multiplier wins continue to attract players who prefer straightforward gameplay over increasingly complex bonus mechanics.
- Worth it for casual players and multiplier hunters.
- Less ideal for low-risk or strategy-focused players.
