What Is Red Door Roulette Live?
Red Door Roulette is a live casino roulette game created by Evolution. It combines classic European Roulette with the popular live game show Crazy Time.
A notable feature of Crazy Time is its large red door, which leads to a bonus game featuring a giant money wheel. The red door and the bonus game are now part of Red Door Roulette, which is why the game is named after it.
Red Door Roulette is easy to understand and play. It looks and feels like regular roulette with all the usual bets like single numbers, red or black, and columns.
The main difference is that straight-up bets can give you access to the Crazy Time Money Wheel bonus, which has a maximum payout of 4000 times your bet. The Golden Keys play an important role in getting access to the bonus.
How to Play Red Door Roulette
Place Your Bets

At the bottom of your screen, you see the betting grid of the roulette game. Start by determining the amount you want to play with. You can place many different kinds of bets on the Roulette table.
Bets can cover a single number or a certain range of numbers; each type of bet has its payout rate. To participate in the Bonus game, a win on a Straight Up bet is required.
The Game Starts

After the betting time has expired, an automatic Roulette wheel will spin the ball, and the dealer will pull the lever to initiate the spin of a slot machine.
Slot Machine Determines Number of Golden Keys

The slot machine reel will come to a stop and reveal a random number ranging from 3 to 15. This is the number of Keys that are placed on the board in that round.
Some keys are given a random multiplier between 2x and 20x. This gives you a chance to enter the Bonus game with increased multipliers on the Crazy Time wheel.
Roulette Game Result

The ball was still spinning when the Golden Keys were placed. The ball will eventually come to rest in one of the numbered pockets in the wheel. If the ball lands on a Bonus Number with a Key and you have placed your bet on that particular number, you will proceed to the Bonus Round.
When that Bonus Number has a multiplier, the game multiplies all the multiplier segments on the Crazy Time wheel by that amount.
Bonus Round

What’s behind the mystic Red Door? It is the world of the Crazy Time Bonus Game with a gigantic 64-segment wheel.
The wheel has three flappers, and you are asked to choose one of them. Your chosen flapper determines your payout.
If the flapper lands on the ‘DOUBLE’ segment on the Crazy Time wheel, the game doubles all multiplier values and spins the wheel again.
Once the wheel comes to a stop. Your bet is being multiplied by the result of the wheel. The winnings are paid immediately into your account. A new Red Door Roulette game begins.
“I love the excitement of Crazy Time, but I also really enjoy playing roulette.
This Red Door Roulette gives me the best of both worlds. A roulette game with the Crazy Time Moneywheel as a bonus game, it’s great!”
Golden Keys and Multipliers
In every spin, Red Door Roulette randomly selects several numbers to be Lucky Numbers, much like the feature in Lightning Roulette. These Lucky Numbers receive golden keys. If you have placed a bet on one of these numbers and the ball lands on it, you unlock the red door and enter the Money Wheel bonus round.
To spice things up a bit more, some of these golden keys also come with multipliers that can be as high as 20x. When the ball lands on a number with a golden key that has a multiplier, the bonus winnings are multiplied by that amount.
This means your potential winnings can increase significantly during the bonus round, making the game more exciting and rewarding.

The Red Door Bonus Game
When the ball lands on a number with a golden key, the Crazy Time Money Wheel bonus round is triggered. Only players who bet on the winning number with the golden key can join in. The others simply watch as the action unfolds.
The bonus features a large money wheel filled with various multipliers, giving players a chance to win massive prizes. It works exactly like the original Crazy Time game.
Players select one of three flappers, and once everyone has made their choice, the live host spins the wheel. Your prize depends on the multiplier where your chosen flapper lands.
If the wheel lands on a “Double” segment, all the multipliers on the wheel are doubled, and it spins again, giving you even more chances for bigger rewards.
The highest multiplier you can win in this bonus round is 4000 times your original bet, creating an exciting opportunity for huge payouts. There are multiple wheel layouts, and which one you get is randomly chosen.

What is the RTP (Return to Player) in Red Door Roulette?
- Straight-Up Bet:
- The RTP (Return to Player) for straight-up bets in Red Door Roulette is 97.09%. This is slightly lower than the standard 97.30% RTP seen in regular European roulette games.
The lower RTP accounts for the modified payout structure, where straight-up bets pay 19:1 instead of the usual 35:1.
However, this is balanced by the high-payout bonus round, where players can win multipliers up to 4000x, increasing the potential for larger winnings.
- The RTP (Return to Player) for straight-up bets in Red Door Roulette is 97.09%. This is slightly lower than the standard 97.30% RTP seen in regular European roulette games.
- All Other Bets:
- For all other bets, the RTP is 97.30%, consistent with the RTP for standard European roulette games.
What Is the Volatility in Red Door Roulette?
Volatility refers to how often and how much you can win. High volatility means bigger wins but less often, while low volatility means smaller, more frequent wins.
In Red Door Roulette, volatility depends on your bets. Straight-up bets have high volatility because they offer large payouts (up to 4000x in the bonus round), but they’re less likely to win.
Bets like red/black or odd/even have lower volatility, offering smaller but more frequent wins.

My Results in Different Sessions
To try out Red Door Roulette, I played several sessions. In each session, I played for one hour. I tried some different strategies. Every session, I started with a bankroll of €100, and I tried some different strategies. This is the outcome of my sessions:
First session
In my first session, I played every betting option with bets of €0,20 on every number. I knew it was a very risky strategy, but I wanted to try this strategy too.
No luck on my side this time. I played 12 rounds without a bonus game. With this strategy, every round without a bonus cost me €3,40, so my bankroll was down to €59,20.
Then a bonus round came up but I only got 20x, so no profit there. Then another 11 rounds of no bonus. The next bonus paid 80x, a small profit. But then another drought of bonus games. After 38 minutes, my bankroll was completely gone. I don’t think this is a good strategy.
Second session
This time I played strategy 2, mentioned above. Each round a bet of €0,20 on 18 numbers. This was a better session. Thanks to a back-to-back bonus round, one with a 200x multiplier and one with a 100x multiplier. I ended with €121,60. A profit of €21,60.
Third session
This time I used strategy 2 again. I started with €100 and ended with €87,40, a small loss of €12,60. I was unlucky with the numbers but had some decent bonus games.
All in all, an enjoyable session, but I must say, with every round betting on 18 numbers, the bankroll acts a bit like a rollercoaster
Fourth Session
This time I chose strategy 3. I played randomly, max 10 numbers. My bets were €0,20. I started with 3 numbers hit in a row, and that gave me a jump start.
This strategy made me miss 3 bonus rounds, but also hit a couple. The last bonus round gave me 200x. The result was a loss of just €10. I had a blast playing this strategy.
Fifth Session
In the last session, I again played strategy 3, which felt like the most relaxed one with the least fluctuations in my bankroll. But this time I decided to sometimes increase the bet when I got a win.
This progressive way of betting is funny and thrilling, and it gave me some good winnings. After a non-win, I returned to the starting bet of €0,20. I had a nice winning streak in the middle of the session.
So the bet was up to €0,80 and then I had the Red Door Bonus Round with an extra multiplier. This gave me a win of 240x. After playing for an hour, I had a profit of €122.

Pros and Cons
- Only one zero on the wheel (European Roulette Wheel)
- Every Round 3-15 bonus numbers every round
- Small bets of 0,20 accepted
- Max multiplier can be 4000x
- Only 19:1 payout for a straight up bet
- The game can be challenging for a small-budget player
The Pros Explained
- European Roulette Wheel
Red Door Roulette uses the European roulette wheel, which features a single zero. This wheel configuration provides better odds for players compared to the American roulette wheel, which has both a single and a double zero.
The single zero reduces the house edge, offering a more favorable return to the player and making the game more appealing to those who prefer European roulette’s more player-friendly odds. - Bonus Numbers Every Round
In each round of Red Door Roulette, between 3 to 15 bonus numbers are selected. This adds an extra layer of excitement and potential reward to the game.
These bonus numbers enhance the player’s chances of hitting a bonus payout, making every spin more thrilling and engaging. - Small Bet Options
Red Door Roulette is highly accessible to players of all budget levels, with small bets starting at just €0.20. - High Maximum Multiplier
One of the standout features of Red Door Roulette is the potential for a maximum multiplier of up to 4000x. This high multiplier can lead to huge winnings
The Cons Explained
- Only 19:1 payout for a straight-up bet
If you don’t hit a key number, the straight-up bet will only pay you 19:1 rather than 35:1in a normal roulette game. - The game can be challenging for a small-budget player
When you only play a few numbers, it can take a while before you win something, and you can miss the bonus game for a long time. This could be damaging when you play with a small bankroll.
Strategies for Red Door Roulette
Just like Lightning Roulette and XXXtreme Lightning Roulette, Red Door Roulette has also adjusted the payout of a straight bet (betting on a full number).
Because you can win large amounts of money with the bonus game, they have reduced the payout of a full number from 35x to 20x.
There are several strategies that you can follow. I will mention a few; just choose the strategy that fits you the best. It’s always important to feel comfortable when you’re playing live casino games.
Strategy 1 – Bet on all numbers
If you want to be sure that you don’t miss a single bonus round, you’ll need to bet on all the numbers in each game. This is quite an aggressive strategy, especially because it takes a toll on your bankroll when no bonus game is played for an extended period.
This strategy is for the experienced player who can handle significant fluctuations in their bankroll. There is a high likelihood that your bankroll will be depleted before you enter a streak of consecutive bonus games.
Every game without a bonus game, this strategy will cost you 17 bets. I don’t recommend this strategy; most of the time, it will cost you your bankroll.
Strategy 2 – Bet half of the numbers
I prefer this strategy more than strategy 1. You will at least break even half of the time, and with some nice bonus games, you will have a chance to get some profit now and then.
But still, the total amount of bets every game is a bit too high and will cost you your bankroll most of the time, too soon.
Strategy 3 – Bet max 10 numbers
This is my favorite strategy. Just pick max 10 numbers to place your bet on. Hope that you get lucky with the Golden Keys regularly.
That way, you will have a profit when your number falls and still have a reasonable chance that one of your numbers will also be regularly selected as a Lucky Number.
With this strategy, every time one of your numbers is hit, you’ll win a decent amount. All you need is a nice winning streak.
Tips
Just like all the live casino games, Red Door Roulette is a game of chance. Your main reason to play Red Door Roulette should be the fun of the game.
The theoretical payout percentage is 97.09%-97.30% so in the long run, the casino will probably win. But with the following tips, there’s a good chance you’ll be up quite a few sessions.
- Try one of the strategies mentioned above
- Bonuses should appear frequently, but that’s only in the long term. Don’t be disappointed if there is no bonus for 20 spins. This happens regularly
- Don’t get angry when multipliers in bonus games are low. Low multipliers will appear more often than big ones
- There is only a limited time to place your bets. Use the “repeat” button or the “autoplay” option
- Have the courage now and then to stop when you’re ahead
- Don’t risk money you can’t afford to lose
