The 30th of January was a lucky day for Evolution Gaming, as this was the day the developer launched its new Lightning Baccarat game and announced its new EGR Nordics Award.
To celebrate the two successes, the developer issued two separate statements detailing its achievement at the prestigious awards ceremony and the launch of the new Live Casino game.
Lightning Baccarat is the newest game to be added to the award-winning Lightning games portfolio that consists of Lightning Roulette and Lightning Dice as of the 30th of January. Evolution announced the new game will be presented in the upcoming ICE London 2020 and will be a new, exciting take on classic baccarat. It will be available across desktop, smartphone and tablet devices.
The gameplay will be essentially the same, with the addition of a Lightning Round. As soon as the round begins, a bolt of lightning will strike between one and five random Lightning Cards. Each of the cards receives a random Multiplier. A player, then, must match one of its winning cards to a Lightning Card in order to win those Multiplier payouts. The more Lightning Cards players match, the bigger the Multiplier increases. On Banker and Player bets it can increase up to 512x, but on the Tie bet, it can go up to 262,144x!
Todd Haushalter, Evolution’s Chief Product Officer said that after the successful, multi-award-winning Lightning Roulette and the immensely popular Lightning Dice, creating a Lightning Baccarat variant was a natural move for the Lightning portfolio. He added, since baccarat players love volatility, Evolution was about to give them all they could handle with Lightning Baccarat.
Lightning Roulette was first introduced in 2018, and it had scooped three Game of the Year Awards. The developer launched the Lightening Dice in 2019, which became an instant hit, considering players’ appreciation of dice games. Now, at the very beginning of 2020, Evolution launches Lightning Baccarat. Whether Lightning Blackjack is next on the list for next year, it remains to be seen. For now, the entire Lightning portfolio is set in a black and gold Art Deco environment, and offer random Multipliers with lightning flashes in the UI.
Another yet award is added to Evolution Gaming’s selection of awards. At this year’s EGR Nordic Awards, the leading Live Dealers games developer has been crowned Casino Content Supplier of the Year, for the third year in a row! The ceremony was held on the 28th of January at Hilton Hotel Malta in St.Julian and awarded the most successful and innovative online gambling companies operating in the Nordic region.
The developer had a tough competition coming from all gaming verticals. Eventually, it managed to beat 11 other shortlisted companies to win the award.
Sebastian Johannisson, Evolution’s Chief Commercial Officer said that winning the award three times running was a real honour. He admitted that 2019 has been another remarkable year for Evolution, since it managed to launch more titles than ever before, offering its operator partners and their players even more excellent classic and Game Show style games. He dedicated the award to Evolution’s hardworking and dedicated team, which helped the company expand its Malta studios, offering players from the Nordic region even more of its bespoke content and localized tables.
