Evolution Free Bet Blackjack: How It Differs from Standard Blackjack?

Evolution is a powerhouse of innovation in the live casino space. Many of its best releases were ones that fundamentally changed how we play some games. However, we are not talking about Evolution’s industry-shaking games today. Instead, this title focuses on a small but exciting blackjack variant called Free Bet Blackjack.

This article covers everything new that the release offers to players. Interested in trying Free Bet Blackjack? Our guide answers everything you need to know to get started.

What’s New in Free Bet Blackjack?

The release will seem familiar if you are used to standard blackjack games. Free Bet Blackjack does not change the rules drastically. Wins are formed the same way as regular blackjack, and rewards are not different either.

Evolution changes gameplay in this title by granting free bets on specific wagers. You get free double-down bets if your hand has a hard 9, 10, or 11. Additionally, you get free split wagers for all pairs except 10, J, Q, and K. Free bets are offered automatically if your hand qualifies.

To make these changes possible, Free Bet Blackjack raises the requirements for making the dealer bust. Standard blackjack requires the host to have more than 21 in their hand to bust. In this Evolution variant, a dealer hand of 22 results in a push rather than a bust. This balances the addition of free bets and retains an excepted RTP similar to regular blackjack.

How to Play Free Bet Blackjack

You play Free Bet Blackjack on a standard or infinite blackjack table. If playing on a limited-seat table, you must claim a seat before playing. If no empty seats are available, Evolution allows you to use Bet Behind to wager on a player you think will win.

Once seated, you can start playing blackjack properly. Each round starts with a betting stage, during which you decide how much you plan to bet. After betting ends, the host begins drawing cards. All seated players and the dealer get two cards. You can only see your cards and one of the dealer’s cards.

If you get exactly 21 with your first two cards, you have blackjack! Unless the host also has 21, you automatically win the round. If the host’s visible card is an Ace, you can accept an Insurance bet that pays if the host has blackjack.

Once players get their first two cards, they must decide how to play them. You can decide to hit, stand, double down, or split. Hitting draws an additional card, bringing you closer to 21. Stand indicates you do not wish to receive more cards, ending your turn.

Splitting is an option if your first two cards are of equal value. If you split aces, you will only receive one additional card per hand. Doubling down doubles your main bet and draws one more card. You should only use that wager if you are confident you will beat the host’s hand. Double down and split stakes are free under the circumstances we described earlier.

After players finish betting, the host reveals their second card. If needed, they will draw more cards. You win the round if your hand is better.

Free Bet Blackjack Side Bets

Evolution’s Free Bet Blackjack game has several side bets. One of them is the Perfect Pairs side bet. This side bet checks if your first two cards are a pair. The better your pair, the higher the payouts are.

Another fun side bet is 21+3. It checks your two cards and the dealer’s visible hand to form a three-card poker hand. Valid combinations include Flush, Straight, Three-of-a-Kind, Straight Flush, and Suited Trips.

If you are playing the infinite table version of this game, it has two more side bets you can play. Hot 3 also tries to form three-card combinations with the player’s first cards and the host’s up card. Meanwhile, Bust It pays if the dealer ends the round by busting. You are in for a fun time no matter which Free Bet Blackjack you choose to play. This game is a fantastic addition to every live casino that offers it. Give it a try: you will not be disappointed.
