Funky Time Officially Goes Live!
Just like promised at the ICE London at the beginning of the year, Evolution has finally gone live with Funky Time across all operator partners. Todd Haushalter, Evolution’s CPO, said in London that the game was coming to casinos in May, and the promise was delivered. Two days ago, on the 24th of May, Evolution officially announced the game’s launch, although it has been live across several casinos since the 10th.
The new 70s disco-themed Live game show is loaded with bonuses and Multipliers, and it is the biggest new game show launched by the developer since Crazy Time.
We were wondering will the new Funky Time Live game show outshine Crazy Time, and from what we can see, it really does have the potential to do so. Namely, the new game with Live presenter celebrates the disco era with a retro club ambiance, daring dancefloor moves, and of course, funky tunes. Evolution’s Statement on the New Game Show
Todd Haushalter said that they invented the Live game show category of Live Dealers games with Dream Catcher and they’ve never looked back ever since. They have created 10 top new games over the last five years, most of which were game shows, so they were all confident that Funky Time would get similar success. Haushalter said that when he first saw the DigiWheel with an electronic LED center vertically revolving, he knew there was a potential for a great game show to be built around it. Then, they started brainstorming what the game should be about and they knew they were onto something big with Funky Time.
Finally, Haushalter added that around 100 team members were involved in creating the game show and putting it live, so he was incredibly proud of them, as this was the most complex and expensive game they’ve ever created, but most importantly, a title that oozed fun. Even though different players search for different things in Live Casino games, Funky Time was sure to have broad appeal with Evolution’s fans, Haushalter said, adding that they believed it would be as entertaining as Crazy Time but with a few extra goodies added to the equation and with a completely different feel.
