What is Dragon Tiger?
Dragon Tiger is a traditional Asian card game brought to the live casino by Evolution. It is often compared to baccarat, but the rules are considerably simpler.
There are no hands to build and no decisions to make after placing your bet. The dealer simply draws one card for Dragon and one for Tiger from an eight-deck shoe. The highest card wins, with King ranking highest and Ace lowest.

Dragon Tiger has only four main betting options, but there are some important differences between them.
The standard bets are Dragon and Tiger. Both pay 1:1 and offer the game’s highest RTP of 96.27%, making them by far the most attractive options mathematically.
You can also bet on a Tie, which pays 11:1 when both cards have the same value. If a Tie occurs, half of your Dragon or Tiger main bet is returned. The Tie itself has a much lower RTP of just 89.64%.
The highest payout comes from the Suited Tie. Here, both cards must have the same value and the same suit. It pays 50:1, but the chance of hitting it is small and its RTP drops even further to 86.02%.

What’s My Opinion on Dragon Tiger?
Dragon Tiger is a little too simple for my taste. I like fast live casino games, but here there is very little happening beyond choosing Dragon or Tiger and watching two cards being dealt. The roads and statistics add something to follow, but they do not make the actual gameplay more exciting for me.
My biggest issue, however, is the RTP structure. The 96.27% RTP on Dragon and Tiger is acceptable, but the side bets are much worse. Tie drops to 89.64%, while Suited Tie offers only 86.02%. Those returns are simply too low for me, especially when the game offers no multipliers or bonus features to compensate with more exciting gameplay.
Our expert view: Dragon Tiger does exactly what it promises: it is fast, polished, and extremely easy to play. However, the limited gameplay depth and particularly poor RTPs on the side bets make it difficult for us to rate it among Evolution’s better live card games.
