MONOPOLY Roulette uses the same bonus round as MONOPOLY Live and MONOPOLY Big Baller. If you have played one of those games, you already know what to expect. For everyone else, here is how it works.

How Bonus Rounds Are Triggered

The bonus features in MONOPOLY Roulette begin before every spin. Once the betting time has ended, the live dealer pulls the lever of a special MONOPOLY -themed slot machine located next to the roulette wheel.

The slot machine spins a single reel containing the numbers 3 to 7. The number it lands on determines how many roulette numbers will be selected as MONOPOLY Bonus Numbers for the upcoming round. For example, if the reel stops on 5, then five roulette numbers will receive the MONOPOLY Bonus symbol.

In addition to the MONOPOLY Bonus Numbers, a random number of roulette numbers may also be selected as Community Chest Bonus Numbers. These numbers are chosen separately and can trigger a different bonus game.

Occasionally, Evolution adds an extra twist by attaching a multiplier to one of the bonus features. When this happens, any winnings from the corresponding bonus round can be multiplied, creating the potential for significantly larger payouts.

Bonus #1: MONOPOLY Bonus Game

The MONOPOLY Bonus Game takes players to a virtual MONOPOLY board where Mr. MONOPOLY moves around the board using real dice rolls. Depending on the round, players receive between 5 and 9 dice rolls.

As Mr. MONOPOLY moves across the board, he collects cash prizes and multipliers from properties, railroads, utilities, and special spaces. Some spaces can increase winnings dramatically, especially when Mr. MONOPOLY passes GO, which doubles all prizes on the board.

Extra multipliers can also appear on bonus numbers before the round starts, creating winning potential up to 5,000x your bet.

Special Rules on the MONOPOLY Board

Several spaces and dice results can change how the MONOPOLY Bonus develops, so not every trip around the board plays out the same way.

• Rolling Doubles: A double normally gives you one extra dice roll. The exception is when you are in Jail and use the double to get out; in that case, you don’t receive the extra roll.
• Passing GO: Every time Mr. Monopoly passes GO, all prizes currently on the board are doubled. Passing GO can therefore make the remaining part of the bonus considerably more valuable.
• Income Tax: Landing on Income Tax reduces your accumulated Bonus winnings by 10%.
• Super Tax: This is even more painful, reducing your accumulated Bonus winnings by 20%.
• Jail: Going to Jail doesn’t take away the winnings you have already collected. Even if the Bonus Game finishes while Mr. Monopoly is still in Jail, your previous Bonus winnings remain intact.

These rules are important because the number of starting rolls is only part of the story. Doubles can extend the bonus, passing GO can dramatically increase the value of the board, while Jail and the Tax spaces can slow down an otherwise promising round.

Bonus #2: Community Chest Bonus

The Community Chest Bonus is a faster pick-and-win style feature. Players choose one of three hidden cards, each containing a random multiplier.

The prizes range from 20x up to 300x your stake. After a short shuffle animation, players select a card and instantly reveal their multiplier.

I Played MONOPOLY Roulette

I played several sessions of MONOPOLY Roulette, but one of my most interesting tests was playing €0.10 Straight-Up on all 37 numbers. This meant I staked €3.70 per round and was guaranteed to have a qualifying bet whenever the ball landed on a MONOPOLY or Community Chest Bonus Number.

I started with a €100 bankroll. There were some substantial swings: at one point my balance dropped to just €48, but later it climbed as high as €267. I eventually stopped playing with €200, exactly double my starting bankroll.

What stood out most wasn’t simply finishing with a profit, but how volatile the session could be even with such small bets. Covering every number gave me plenty of opportunities to experience the bonus features, but a normal Straight-Up hit only pays 19:1, so rounds without a bonus still reduced my balance despite covering the winning number.

The bonus rounds were what changed the session. I saw multipliers as high as 2,000x, and the MONOPOLY Bonus in particular made the game much more entertaining for me than standard Roulette. The combination of dice rolls, doubles, Jail, passing GO and changing board prizes means that even two bonuses starting with the same number of rolls can develop very differently.

Important: This was just my own playing experience, not evidence that betting on all 37 numbers is a winning strategy. My €100 to €200 result could easily have been very different in another session. I used this approach mainly because it allowed me to experience and test the bonus features frequently.

Bonus Chaser & Chest Chaser

The game gives you the option to never miss a bonus round. It offers two Quick Bet features: Bonus Chaser and Chest Chaser.

How do they work? In every round, between 3 and 7 MONOPOLY Bonus symbols appear on different numbers, along with up to 5 Community Chest symbols. If you place bets on both the Bonus Chaser and the Chest Chaser, the game will automatically place one bet on every number that has a symbol attached to it.

This means that if a bonus number is selected, you will always have a qualifying bet on it and can participate in the bonus round.

Keep in mind that the cost of these bets is higher than the number of chips placed on the table. To join the Bonus Chaser, you pay 14.5x your stake, while the Chest Chaser costs 7.3x your stake. Together, they cost 21.8x your stake per round, guaranteeing that you will participate whenever a bonus round is triggered.

At first glance, betting on all numbers may seem like the better option because it effectively costs 17x your stake per round, compared to 21.8x your stake for both Chaser bets combined. However, this difference is balanced out when a bonus round is triggered. In that case, you only invested 21.8x your stake instead of 37x your stake, giving you access to the bonus at a lower overall cost.

The important difference is the RTP. Bonus Chaser returns 93.66% and Chest Chaser 94.72%, so I see these mainly as convenient ways to follow the bonus action rather than mathematically attractive bets.

The MONOPOLY Board

The board looks like a classic MONOPOLY board, with the following types of squares:

• Properties: Each property has a multiplier attached to it. The further around the board, the higher the multipliers, with properties like Boardwalk and Mayfair offering the highest values. Houses and hotels multiply these values further.
• Railroads and Utilities: These offer smaller multipliers than properties.
• Chance and Community Chest: Landing here gives you a random cash prize or a small extra feature.
• Tax squares: These can deduct a percentage from your current bonus winnings, so they work against you.
• GO: Every time Mr. Monopoly passes GO, all prizes currently on the board are doubled.
• Go to Jail: If Mr. MONOPOLY lands here, he moves to the Jail square and cannot collect multipliers until he rolls a double to get out.

What Happens When You Go to Jail?

Jail works a little differently than we first expected. When Mr. Monopoly lands on Go to Jail, he moves to the Jail space, and you get up to three attempts to roll a double.

If you roll a double on your first attempt, that roll is immediately used to leave Jail. You don’t receive an extra roll for the double, but you effectively haven’t lost one of your original rolls either. The main disadvantage is that Mr. Monopoly has been moved roughly halfway back around the board.

If you don’t roll a double, you remain in Jail and use another attempt. After three unsuccessful attempts, Mr. Monopoly is released anyway, and the Bonus Game continues. This means that failing to roll a double does not end the bonus, although you can lose several valuable rolls while trying to escape.

Any winnings you collected before going to Jail remain yours.

Our Experience: During our own sessions, we found that Jail isn’t necessarily as bad as it first looks. An immediate double gets you back into the game quickly, while three failed attempts are more costly because several rolls are used without moving around the board. However, the Bonus Game still continues after the third attempt.

How your winnings are calculated

Every multiplier Mr. MONOPOLY lands on is added to your bonus total. When all your rolls are used, the total multiplier is applied to the bet that triggered the bonus. For example, if you had a €1 straight-up bet and the multipliers added up to 50x, you win €50.

RTP, Volatility & Payouts

MONOPOLY Roulette uses a European roulette wheel with a single zero, but the game also includes special bonus bets and multipliers that change the overall payout structure.

The standard outside bets offer the highest RTP at 97.30%, similar to that of regular European roulette. Straight-up bets have a slightly lower RTP of 96.59% because they also give players access to the Monopoly Bonus Game and multipliers up to 5,000x.

Players can also place Bonus Chaser and Chest Chaser bets to cover all bonus numbers on the table automatically. These bets increase the chance of entering a bonus round, although they come with a lower RTP of 93.66% and 94.72%.

Important: Straight-Up bets don’t pay the traditional 35:1 in MONOPOLY Roulette. A regular Straight-Up win pays only 19:1, with part of the theoretical value shifted into the bonus features and multiplier potential.

Volatility

In terms of volatility, MONOPOLY Roulette feels much more volatile than traditional live roulette. Most rounds result in regular roulette payouts, but the bonus games can create very large wins in a short amount of time. The combination of random multipliers, dice rolls, and MONOPOLY board features adds more unpredictability and excitement to every spin.

The maximum win in MONOPOLY Roulette is 5,000x your stake during the MONOPOLY Bonus Game, while the overall maximum payout per round is capped at €500,000.

Tips for Playing MONOPOLY Roulette

There is no strategy that can change the odds in MONOPOLY Roulette, but understanding the different bet types can help you choose how you want to play.

Choose Your Bets Based on What You Want

If you mainly want to play Roulette, the standard bets are mathematically the strongest choice. Most regular bets have an RTP of 97.30%, while Straight-Up bets return 96.59%. Straight-Up bets are more volatile, but they are also your direct route into the MONOPOLY and Community Chest Bonus Games.

Be Careful With the Chaser Bets

Bonus Chaser and Chest Chaser make it easier to participate whenever a bonus is triggered, but that convenience comes at a price. Their RTPs drop to 93.66% and 94.72%, respectively. I therefore wouldn’t automatically use them simply to chase more bonuses.

Covering All 37 Numbers

Another option is placing a small Straight-Up bet on every number. This guarantees that you have a qualifying bet whenever the winning number carries a bonus symbol. However, a regular Straight-Up hit pays only 19:1, so you still lose part of your total stake when no bonus is triggered.

I used this approach myself with €0.10 per number (€3.70 per round) because it allowed me to experience the bonus features frequently. It worked out well in my particular session, but that result was down to luck and doesn’t make covering all numbers a winning strategy.

Set Your Stake Before You Play

MONOPOLY Roulette can produce much bigger swings than standard Roulette. Decide beforehand how much you want to spend and don’t increase your bets just because a bonus hasn’t appeared for a while. Previous spins don’t make a bonus more likely to occur on the next round.

Expert Tip: If your priority is RTP, stick mainly to the standard Roulette bets. If you’re playing specifically for the MONOPOLY experience, Straight-Up bets give you bonus access without the substantially lower RTP of the Chaser bets.

Best fit: MONOPOLY Roulette is particularly suited to players who like the basic structure of Roulette but want much more entertainment around it. The two bonus games, frequent bonus symbols, and up to 5,000x potential make it feel closer to a Roulette/game-show hybrid than traditional Roulette.

MONOPOLY Roulette vs Other Bonus Roulette Games

MONOPOLY Roulette is not the only live Roulette game with bonus features. The biggest difference is that it combines the Roulette wheel with two separate bonus games rather than relying mainly on boosted Straight-Up payouts.
