What’s My Opinion on Ice Fishing?
I love live game shows with a money wheel, so I was very curious when Ice Fishing Live was first presented in Barcelona in 2025. It looked a bit different from other Evolution games, and it really is. The game has one main type of bonus round, which makes it easy to follow and fast to play. Because of that, the gameplay feels quick and smooth, which I like.
However, this simplicity can also make it feel a bit repetitive compared to games like Crazy Time or Funky Time, which have more varied features. Still, the fishing animations look great and keep things interesting. The bonus scenes are well made, and catching a big fish always gives that little rush of excitement.
My expert view: Ice Fishing doesn’t have the bonus variety of Crazy Time or Funky Time, but that is also part of its appeal. Evolution has created a much faster and simpler game show that still offers genuine bonus action and strong RTPs. I particularly like it for shorter sessions, although the similar mechanics of the three fishing bonuses can become repetitive if you play for a long time.
