What is Fan Tan Live?
Fan Tan Live is an ancient Asian counting game that Evolution has brought to the live casino world. Known for reinventing traditional games, Evolution has turned this centuries-old bead game into a polished and engaging live experience.
The gameplay is simple and based on guessing how many beads remain at the end of each round. It feels calmer and more rhythmic than fast games like Baccarat Live or Dragon Tiger, but that slower pace is also what makes it unique and relaxing to play.
How to Play Fan Tan
Choose Your Game View

You can play in two views: Default or Advanced. The default view shows the main bet types: Odd or Even, Big or Small, and Fan Bet.
If you switch to the advanced view, you will also see the traditional Fan Tan bets such as SSH, Kwok, and Nim. You can change between the two views anytime by clicking the View Switching button.
Place Your Bets

Each round starts with the dealer using a metal cup to scoop a random number of small white beads from inside a glass dome. While the beads remain covered, you place your bets on the betting grid. You can choose from the different bet types shown on the screen depending on your preferred strategy.
Sorting the Beads

When the betting time ends, the dealer lifts the cup and starts sorting the beads into lines of four using a golden stick. Each line is counted carefully, and you can watch the number of remaining beads go down. The slow rhythm of this process adds a nice bit of tension before the result is revealed.
Revealing the Result and Payout

When only one, two, three, or four beads remain, the dealer places them in the center of the table. That number is the final result of the round. If your prediction matches the outcome, your winnings are paid instantly according to the payout table, and a new round begins right after.
“At first, Fan Tan Live felt slow to me, but after a few rounds I started to enjoy the rhythm.
The counting builds a quiet tension, and the final bead always feels more exciting than you expect.”
Possible Bets Explained
As mentioned earlier, Fan Tan Live has two game views: the Default View and the Advanced View. Each offers its own betting options.
Default Game View
Odd / Even
Pays 0.95 to 1. You bet on whether the final result will be an odd number (1 or 3) or an even number (2 or 4).
Big / Small
Pays 0.95 to 1. You bet on whether the final result will be small (1 or 2) or big (3 or 4).
Fan Bet
Pays 2.85 to 1. You bet on the exact number of beads left in the final line.
Advanced Game View
In the Advanced View, you can still use the same bets as in the default view, but it also adds several classic Fan Tan bets for more variety.
SSH (Sheh Sam Hong)
Pays 0.316667 to 1. You bet on three numbers. If the result is any of these numbers, you win. For example, if you bet on 1, 2, and 3, you win if the final number is 1, 2, or 3, but you lose if it is 4.
Kwok
Pays 0.95 to 1. You bet on two numbers. If the result is one of those two, you win. For example, a bet on 2 and 3 wins if the final number is 2 or 3.
Nim
Pays 1.90 to 1. This bet also covers two numbers. The first number is your winning choice, while the second is a push. If the result matches your winning number, you win. If it matches the push number, your stake is returned.

My Strategy to Play Fan Tan Live
Since this game is pure luck, there’s no real way to predict your numbers with certainty. Still, I like using the Detailed Game Result Statistics because they show results from up to the last 500 rounds. This gives me an idea of which numbers have been hitting more often.
I also check the percentage bars for bet spots like 1, 2, 3, 4, Odd/Even, and Big/Small. Below those, you’ll find scoreboards that help you track patterns from recent results. While none of this guarantees a win, I find it useful for spotting trends and making the game feel a little more strategic.

What’s My Opinion on Fan Tan?
I have played many live casino games over the years, but Fan Tan Live was completely new to me. I did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did, but after spending several sessions with it, I now understand its appeal.
What I like most is how Evolution kept the original tradition alive while making it fit perfectly in a modern live casino. The game feels calm and balanced, with steady excitement as the final result is revealed.
It is a nice break from faster games like Lightning Baccarat or Speed Roulette, where everything happens at once.
Who will enjoy Fan Tan Live:
• Players who like slow and steady live games
• Beginners looking for clear and simple rules
• Anyone who enjoys classic Asian-style games with a modern touch
• Players who prefer low-stress, relaxing gameplay
