What is Baccarat Control Squeeze?

Baccarat Control Squeeze is Evolution‘s live baccarat game with a squeeze feature. The rules and payouts are the same as in standard baccarat. The difference is that you reveal the cards yourself.

You bet on Player, Banker, or Tie. Two side bets are available: Player Pair and Banker Pair. After the cards are dealt, you can drag on the screen to peel back the edges of the cards and reveal the values at your own pace, instead of the dealer turning them over.

The game has a Red Envelope feature. Before a round, a Red Envelope can appear with a random multiplier on it. If it lands on a winning Tie or Pair bet, the payout is increased, up to 88x.

Apart from the squeeze and the Red Envelope, this is standard live baccarat.

How to Play Baccarat Control Squeeze

Place Your Bets

From a tray with chips below the betting layout, pick a single value or a combination that suits your budget. Move the chip to your preferred betting option: Banker, Player, or Tie. You have around 20 seconds to do it. If you want to try your luck with optional bets, now is the time to decide whether you’ll go with the Banker or Player Pair.

Cards Are Dealt

The dealer deals two cards to each side, the Player and the Banker. The cards are dealt face down, and on the screen, you’ll see them covered.

Perform the Squeeze

You can partially peel the overlay mask from the cards by clicking on the corners, or reveal the cards immediately. This squeeze phase lasts 15 seconds.

Third Card Rule

After the cards are revealed and the totals are compared, the dealer may deal a third card to one side or both sides.

Third Card Rule

The side with a total closer to 9 wins. If you have placed your bet on the winning hand, you get paid.

“Baccarat Control Squeeze turns traditional baccarat into a more immersive experience by letting players reveal cards themselves.

The Macau-style atmosphere and slower gameplay create one of Evolution’s most authentic baccarat games.”

Paytable & RTP

Baccarat Control Squeeze follows the same payout structure as traditional live baccarat, making it one of the highest RTP table games available online. The standard Banker and Player bets offer excellent long-term value, while the Tie and Pair bets come with higher volatility and bigger payouts.

The base game has an RTP of 98.94%, which is extremely high compared to most online casino games. The Banker bet statistically offers the best winning chance, although a 5% commission applies to Banker wins.

Players looking for bigger payouts can also try the optional Pair side bets or hope for the Red Envelope feature, which can randomly boost payouts up to 88x.

Baccarat Control Squeeze paytable

Bet TypePayoutRTP
Player1:198.76%
Banker0.95:198.94%
Tie8:1 or 9:189% – 95%*
Player Pair11:189.64%
Banker Pair11:189.64%

Keep in mind: The Banker has a slight statistical advantage over the player because of the drawing rules, so a 5% commission applies to all Banker wins.

Side Bets in Baccarat Control Squeeze

Besides the standard Player, Banker, and Tie bets, Baccarat Control Squeeze also offers optional side bets for players who want bigger payouts and more excitement.

Player Pair

The Player Pair bet wins if the Player’s first two cards form a pair. For example, two Kings or two 7s.
This side bet pays 11:1.

Banker Pair

The Banker Pair works the same way. You win if the Banker’s first two cards are a pair.
This side bet also pays 11:1.

Red Envelope Feature

Sometimes the game randomly adds a Red Envelope bonus to the Tie, Player Pair, or Banker Pair bets. When this happens, payouts can increase up to 88x instead of the normal payout. One, two, or even three Red Envelopes can appear in the same round.

Are Side Bets Worth It?

Side bets are more volatile than the regular baccarat bets. They offer bigger payouts, but they also have a lower RTP and win less often. For most players, Banker and Player bets remain the safest long-term option, while side bets are best used for extra excitement.

Strategy

The way cards are revealed doesn’t change the nature of baccarat, which is a game completely based on luck. In other words, no strategy can help you win, since all you have to do is guess which side gets a total closer to 9 or which side will get a pair of cards. Of course, you can also go with the Tie if you believe both sides will have the same total.

However, always remember that the higher the payout, the higher the risk. So, Tie and Pair bets are more volatile. At the same time, these bets can get boosted by the Red Envelope feature, which definitely adds more excitement to the gameplay. If you want to experience that and maybe win up to 88x, the best approach would be to play low-risk bets constantly and go for Tie or side bets occasionally.

Look & Feel

Like all Evolution-powered baccarat games, Baccarat Control Squeeze exudes opulence and sophistication, guaranteeing a VIP experience. The red and gold colour scheme and elaborate wall decorations create an authentic Macau-like atmosphere. It’s brought to life multiple camera angles, including HD close-ups of the dealer’s hands and the integrated glass panels where dealt cards are revealed.

These glass panels are the standout feature that sets Baccarat Control Squeeze apart from other variants. By letting the player take control of the reveal, the game becomes a private ritual. Here, traditional customs meet modern technology, providing a more suspenseful and personal gaming experience.

Baccarat Control Squeeze vs Other Live Casino Baccarat

If you are still not sure whether Baccarat Control Squeeze is a perfect fit for you, check out how it compares to other popular variants released by Evolution.

Baccarat Control Squeeze vs Lightning Baccarat

These two games may share the same fundamental rules, but they are designed for entirely different audiences. The Control Squeeze version targets players who value the tension of the traditional game. In contrast, Lightning Baccarat is all about fast-paced gameplay and multipliers that can dramatically boost payouts.

The latter also introduces a 20% Lightning Fee, applied to every bet. Therefore, higher payouts require higher stakes, so keep that in mind if you want to try your luck at Lightning Baccarat.

Baccarat Control Squeeze vs Speed Baccarat

While the main appeal of Baccarat Control Squeeze is the squeeze ritual itself, in Speed Baccarat, it’s the fast-paced action. A whole round lasts around 27 seconds, which is half as fast as in most live baccarat games. As for Baccarat Control Squeeze, just the betting and squeeze phase takes that much time.

If you prioritise the outcome over the ritual and want to play as many hands as possible in a single session, Speed Baccarat will be right up your street.
