Peek Baccarat has an excellent optimal RTP of 98.80%, which earns the maximum score in our framework. Interestingly, Player slightly beats Banker in this version, with theoretical returns of 98.80% and 98.76% respectively.

The difference comes from Peek Baccarat’s unusual betting structure. A 20% Peek Fee applies to the initial Player or Banker bet in exchange for seeing some of the cards and having the opportunity to increase your wager afterwards.

There is a very large difference between the strongest and weakest bets in Peek Baccarat. Player offers an excellent 98.80% RTP, but the Pair side bets fall to 89.64%, while Either Pair drops even further to 86.29%.

This creates a gap of 12.51 percentage points between the best and worst documented bet. Players who don’t check the RTP can therefore get dramatically worse mathematical value simply by moving from the main game to a side bet.

This is exactly the type of RTP difference we penalise heavily in our scoring system.

Peek Baccarat has limited big-win potential. The highest fixed payout is 11:1 on Player Pair or Banker Pair, while the main Player and Banker bets remain close to even-money payouts.

The Peek feature does allow you to double or triple your original stake after seeing some of the cards. This can increase the amount you win when your read is correct, but it doesn’t create the huge multipliers or jackpot-style payouts found in modern Baccarat variants.

Peek Baccarat is therefore much more about making a better-informed betting decision than chasing a massive single-round payout.

Peek Baccarat adds genuine decision-making to a game that normally requires almost no player input once betting closes. After your initial bet, one to four cards are revealed and you must decide whether the new information is strong enough to justify doubling or tripling your wager.

This gives the game considerably more depth than standard Baccarat. Every round effectively has two betting phases, and the number and value of the revealed cards can make the second decision genuinely interesting.

The additional decision phase makes rounds slower than regular Baccarat, but in our view the extra suspense and involvement more than compensate for the slower pace.

Peek Baccarat has no traditional Bonus round or random multiplier feature, but the Peek mechanic is much more meaningful than a typical side bet.

Seeing between one and four cards before deciding whether to double or triple your wager changes how you experience the hand and creates a second moment of suspense in every round.

Evolution also includes extensive Baccarat roads, shoe statistics, live betting percentages and an Undo button for accidental bets. There is plenty to interact with without turning the game into a game show.

Peek Baccarat is one of the more original Baccarat variations we have played. Instead of simply adding another side bet or random multiplier, Evolution changes something fundamental: when you are allowed to make a betting decision.

Standard Baccarat is almost completely passive once betting closes. Peek Baccarat breaks that pattern by revealing information and then giving you another decision.

Importantly, the underlying Baccarat rules remain intact. It feels genuinely different without losing the character of the original game.

Peek Baccarat needs a more sophisticated interface than standard Baccarat, and Evolution has handled this well. The betting grid expands during the Peek phase so you can clearly see the revealed cards and decide whether to increase your wager.

Roads, shoe statistics and live betting information remain accessible, while the Undo button is a small but genuinely useful addition.

The basic Peek concept is easy to understand: some cards are revealed, and you can use that information to decide whether to increase your bet.

However, the complete game has more to understand than standard Baccarat. New players need to learn the normal Baccarat rules as well as the 20% Peek Fee and the second betting phase.

Evolution provides detailed rules through the Help menu, but we think complete beginners may need a few rounds before everything becomes completely clear.

Peek Baccarat is excellent to play on mobile. We tested the game ourselves on a smartphone and found the interface clear, responsive and very easy to use.

This is particularly important in Peek Baccarat because you have to make an additional decision during the round. After some of the cards are revealed, you need to quickly decide whether to keep, double or triple your bet. Evolution has adapted this second betting phase very well to the smaller screen, and we had no trouble following the cards or making our decision.

There is a lot of information available, including Baccarat roads and statistics, but the actual gameplay remains easy to follow. Evolution has done an excellent job translating Peek Baccarat to mobile without making its unique Peek feature feel cramped or complicated.

We didn’t experience any technical problems during our Peek Baccarat test session. The video stream remained stable, the cards were registered correctly, and the transition into the Peek phase and second betting round worked smoothly every time.

Our test session was relatively short, so the sample is too small to draw conclusions about the game’s long-term technical reliability. However, everything worked exactly as it should during our time at the table, and Evolution has a strong track record with technically polished live casino games.

Based on our own experience, we have no reason to expect significant technical issues, but the limited testing time keeps us from awarding an even higher score.

During our Peek Baccarat test sessions, the dealers were professional, confident and handled the game smoothly. The cards were dealt correctly, the Peek phase was managed clearly, and we always knew what was happening.

What was missing was some extra personality and enthusiasm. The dealers were pleasant, but didn’t add much entertainment to the game. We understand this is less important in a traditional Baccarat game than in a live game show, but a little more interaction could still improve the experience.

Overall, the dealers were skilled and professional, but not particularly memorable.

The Peek Baccarat studio looks clean, professional and well suited to the game. The table is clearly presented, the lighting is good and nothing distracts you from following the cards and the Peek phase.

At the same time, there isn’t much that makes the studio stand out. It looks polished, as we expect from Evolution, but it lacks the distinctive design and atmosphere we see in some of the provider’s more elaborate live games.

There is nothing wrong with the presentation; it simply does its job well without being particularly special.
