What is Crazy Balls by Evolution?

Crazy Balls is a live casino game show from Evolution that combines a bingo-style main game with four bonus games originally known from Crazy Time.

Unlike Crazy Time, the main game does not use a money wheel. Instead, you bet on numbered cards before a machine randomly draws 20 balls from 60. Completing lines on your card creates the main-game payouts, while separate bonus cards can unlock Coin Flip, Cash Hunt, Pachinko, or Crazy Time.

You can choose between Free Space and Multi Cards, which offer a different balance between the chance of completing a line and the potential payout. This adds an extra decision before each round and gives Crazy Balls more depth than simply choosing a betting position.

The result is essentially the Crazy Time bonus from Evolution, a concept built around a completely different bingo-style main game.

How to Play Crazy Balls

Game Interface

The game is streamed from a live studio, and it’s presented by a live host. The action takes place in beautiful surroundings, with the host and the drawing machine occupying the central position on the screen.

The live host will present the details of the game, while players can interact with the host (and with each other) through live chat.

The game is easily played from both desktop and mobile. The betting section is located at the bottom of the screen, where you’ll see a row of chips with different values. It’s up to you to choose the one you want to bet with.

This is also the place you’ll find the four bonus game cards. As the balls are drawn, the corresponding numbers of the cards will be highlighted, allowing you to keep track of the draw.

The Bonus Games of Crazy Balls

You can enter a Bonus game by betting on Coin Flip, Pachinko, Cash Hunt, or Crazy Time cards. You’ll need all the numbers on a Bonus game card. It takes three numbers on a Coin Flip card to enter the Bonus game, four on a Pachinko or Cash Hunt card, and five on a Crazy Time card.

Keep in mind that Bonus game cards can get free spaces and multipliers, with the latter being capable of multiplying existing multipliers. Additional multipliers come with values of 2x-50x per Bonus game card.

Also, betting on several bonus game cards and getting the necessary numbers can allow you to take part in several bonus games within a single round.

Coin Flip

In this Bonus game, a coin with two sides (red and blue) is flipped to determine whether you win or lose.

However, the first step includes placing the coin in a launcher and revealing the multipliers for each of the coin’s sides. The host then activates the launcher, and the coin is flipped. The coin lands, determining the winning side and the corresponding multiplier.

In case the starting multipliers are low, an option called the Rescue Flip can be used. The coin is once again flipped, allowing for better multipliers.

Cash Hunt

This Bonus game works as an interactive shooting range. You aim to hit the multiplier by shooting at a wall where symbols hide 108 random multipliers.

Pick a target, and once the countdown starts, aim at it. After the time runs out, a cannon will fire at your chosen target, revealing the hidden multiplier.

Pachinko

This Bonus game takes place on a wall with pegs, 16 drop zones and 16 random multipliers. At the bottom, you’ll find landing zones, with each getting a random multiplier or a Double value.

Then, a puck is randomly dropped, travelling down the wall until it comes to a stop in a landing zone. If it lands on a multiplier, it will multiply your stake. On the other hand, landing on Double will double the multipliers. Then, a new drop zone is picked at random, and the puck is once again dropped.

This can go on until the puck lands on a doubled multiplier, or until the multiplier reaches its maximum value of 10,000x. A Rescue Drop can happen if the initial multipliers are too low.

Crazy Time

The Crazy Time bonus game awaits behind the secret red door. It features a wheel consisting of 64 segments and with three flappers. That’s not all, as it also has multipliers capable of delivering massive wins.

You’ll first have to choose either a blue, green or yellow flapper. If you don’t decide in time, one of these flappers will be randomly chosen.

The host will then push the button to spin the wheel. Once the wheel stops, each flapper will point to a different segment. You win if your flapper points to a multiplier.

If the chosen flapper stops on Double, all multipliers will be doubled, and the host will spin the wheel again.

It’s possible to respin the wheel several times, significantly boosting the multipliers. Their top value is 20,000x.

Gameplay

Before the round begins, you can place bets on up to four game cards or on one of the Bonus game cards: Coin Flip, Cash Hunt, Pachinko, or Crazy Time. Each regular card is a 5×5 grid with numbers from 1 to 60. You can choose between a Free Space card, which gives you a free centre spot for better chances of making a line, or a Multi card, which offers higher payout potential through multipliers.

Once betting closes, the host activates the game. First, random daubs and multipliers are added to your cards. A daub acts like a number that has already been drawn, helping you get closer to completing a line. Multipliers can also appear on certain numbers and increase your payouts if those numbers are drawn.

After that, the ball machine draws 20 balls from a total of 60. Every time a drawn number matches one on your cards, it is automatically marked. You can follow all drawn numbers on the screen, along with how many balls remain.

If you complete one or more full lines on a card, you win. Some numbers on your card may also carry multipliers, which can dramatically boost your payout. Crazy Balls uses three different types of multipliers:

• Standard multipliers (10× or 20×) apply when they are part of a winning line.
• Line multipliers (20× or 50×) multiply the entire winning line.
• Global multipliers (2× or 3×) boost all winnings on a card, even if they are not part of the winning line.

On top of that, if you complete all the numbers on a Bonus card, you enter one of the famous Crazy Time bonus games, where even bigger multipliers and extra prizes are available.

Coin Flip has the highest RTP at 96.49%, while Crazy Time has the lowest at 95.54%. The difference is only 0.95 percentage points, so there is no major mathematical penalty for choosing one bonus game over another.

The regular Free Space and Multi Cards both have an RTP of 96.10%, but they work differently. A Free Space Card gives you a free centre position, increasing your chance of completing a line. A Multi Card instead guarantees a multiplier in the centre position, offering greater payout potential but a lower chance of completing a line.

The payout difference between these cards is significant. Free Space lines pay between 2:1 and 39:1, while Multi Card payouts can reach 199:1 per winning line. Main-game Standard, Line, and Global multipliers can increase these payouts further.

The biggest multipliers are available in the bonus games. Pachinko can reach 10,000x, while the Crazy Time bonus has multipliers of up to 20,000x. Evolution sets the maximum total payout from all winnings within a single game round at €500,000.

Expert View: We particularly like how close the RTPs are. Coin Flip has the mathematical advantage at 96.49%, but even the lowest RTP, Crazy Time at 95.54%, is less than one percentage point behind. Crazy Balls is a game of chance, so there is no strategy that can predict which balls or multipliers will appear. However, you can make informed choices about which cards and bonus games you bet on.

1. Choose Free Space or Multi Based on Your Playing Style

Free Space and Multi Cards have the same 96.10% RTP, but they work differently.

A Free Space Card gives you a free centre position, increasing your chance of completing a winning line. A Multi Card guarantees a multiplier in the centre instead, which increases the potential payout but reduces your chance of completing a line.

Neither option is mathematically better based on RTP. The choice is mainly between a better chance of completing lines and greater multiplier potential.

2. Coin Flip Has the Highest RTP

If RTP is your main consideration, Coin Flip is mathematically the best betting option at 96.49%.

Be careful with these buttons. Covering more cards gives you more results to follow, but it also increases your total stake per round. It does not make the random ball draw more favourable.

Always look at your total bet, rather than only the amount placed on each individual card.

5. Understand the Multipliers Before You Play

Crazy Balls uses three different main-game multipliers, and knowing the difference makes the results much easier to follow.

Standard multipliers of 10x or 20x apply when they appear in a winning line. Line multipliers of 20x or 50x multiply a completed line, while Global multipliers of 2x or 3x can increase all line winnings on that card.

Understanding these before increasing your bets is particularly useful because several multiplier types can affect the same card.
