Playtech Mega Fire Blaze Roulette Live Full Overview

In an effort to stand out in an increasingly crowded field, live casino games have started incorporating special features. Most of these were simple affairs, with randomly assigned multipliers boosting payouts. As time goes on, even these bonuses are starting to become more complex. Something we can perfectly see in Playtech’s Mega Fire Blaze Roulette Live.

The game comes with all the traditional polish you would expect from Playtech’s live dealer library. You can see how the developers’ experience with live slots helped them come up with this special feature. That said, the whole experience will be quite familiar to roulette fans outside of the bonus. Is the new bonus round good enough to draw players in? Read on to find out!

Mega Fire Blaze Roulette 101

Every round of roulette starts with a betting period. During this time, players need to choose their wager and place it on the numbers they think will win. Casino members can wager on one number directly, or on several numbers at the same time. After wagers are done, the round proceeds to the next stage.

Up to five numbers will be selected to become fire numbers. If a fire blast occurs, up to ten numbers can be chosen to become fire numbers instead. Fire numbers allow you to participate in the special feature under two conditions. You have to have placed a bet on that number and the ball has to land on said number.

Once the fire numbers are selected, the dealer will spin the roulette wheel. If a fire number is picked, the special feature will activate. If not, winning players will receive a cash prize. In both cases, the next round will start with another betting period.

Players can unlock additional fire numbers via the fire blast special feature. It triggers randomly before the dealer spins the wheel. This increases your odds of activating the bonus round, but does not guarantee it.

The round takes place on a virtual grid consisting of three rows and twelve columns. The playing field is split into six six-symbol positions. Multipliers orbs will fall down on the grid, occupying empty positions. Each multiplier orb can have a 1x, 2x, 3x or 5x multiplier attached. Casino members get three cascades to start with. If a multiplier orb successfully lands on the board, the number of cascades is reset back to three.

Cascades continue until either the count reaches zero, or the entire grid is covered with multipliers. Successfully covering a six-orb section can grant either a corresponding multiplier or one of the four jackpots. All multipliers are added together, and help form how much you will win in each round. The four fixed jackpots are also added to the running total. Available jackpots and their payouts are as follows:

  • Mini – 20x
  • Minor – 100x
  • Major – 500x
  • Grand – 2000x

The maximum amount you can win from Mega Fire Blaze Roulette is 10,000x or €500,000, whichever comes first.

What wager you used to qualify for the promotion is important. Playtech’s release allows you to qualify with any inside bet: that means line, corner, street, split and straight up wagers. Straight number stakes will receive the full benefit of each multiplier. Meanwhile, split will only get 1/2 of the multiplier payout, since it covers two numbers. That is why street pays 1/3, corner pays 1/4 and line bets pay 1/6 of the total multiplier.

Because all inside bets can qualify for the promotion, their payouts were decreased to maintain the standard 97.3% RTP. Outside bet pays remain identical to their European roulette counterpart. Red/Black, Odd/Even and High/Low pay 1:1, while Column and Dozen pay 2:1.

The situation is not the same for inside bets, however. Mega Fire Blaze Roulette pays 4:1 for a line, 6.5:1 for a corner and 9:1 for a street bet. It also pays 14:1 for split bets and 29:1 for straight up bets. On the upside, this means even a line bet can produce a win worth more than 1000x your total stake. However, if you want the biggest possible jackpot, you will have to play a straight up wager.
