What Is Live Baccarat Squeeze?
Baccarat Squeeze is Evolution‘s live baccarat game where the dealer reveals the cards slowly. The rules and payouts are the same as in standard baccarat. The only difference is how the cards are shown.
You bet on Player, Banker, or Tie. Two side bets are available: Player Pair and Banker Pair. This is standard baccarat, so the squeeze does not change the odds or the payouts. It only makes each round longer.
In this game the dealer does the squeeze, not the player. This is the difference from Baccarat Control Squeeze, where you reveal the cards yourself. The dealer shows the edge of the card first to reveal the suit, then turns it over to reveal the number.
Which hand is squeezed depends on the bets. The hand with fewer bets on it is shown quickly. The hand with the most bets is squeezed slowly. If both hands have the same total bet, the dealer squeezes all the cards. When a third card is drawn, that card is squeezed as well.
Some casinos also enable the Red Envelope feature. A Red Envelope with a random multiplier can appear before a round, and if it lands on a winning Tie or Pair bet, the payout is increased, up to 88x.
How to Play Baccarat Squeeze
Place your bet
Choose the coin value and decide what you want to play. You can bet on three main bets (Player, Banker, or Tie), or two side bets (Player Pair or Banker Pair). You have 20 seconds to decide before bets close.
The host deals cards
The live dealer draws two cards face down for the Player side and two cards for the Banker side. They check the statistics to see which side has fewer bets to learn which hand they’ll show you first. Both cards are revealed immediately.
Squeezing
When the live dealer reveals the first two cards, they squeeze the cards on the side where most players placed their bets. They flip over the first card, but the last one – the fourth card – is shown very slowly. They first reveal the edge of this card, and you can only see the suit, not the number. After a few moments, you’ll see the value, and you’ll know the winner.
Third card rule and the final squeezing
When the total score appears, the dealer may draw a third card. You don’t have to worry about this – there’s no math on your side. The dealer takes care of it. Again, the dealer will squeeze the final card in the hand with most bets.
Collect winnings
If your bet was correct and you’ve picked the side with a total closest to 9, or you’ve guessed a Tie or side bets, you receive a payout.
“Baccarat Squeeze turns a traditional baccarat round into a slow, suspenseful experience with cinematic close-ups and the authentic Macau squeeze ritual.”
Payouts & RTP
Since this is a regular baccarat, the paytable and RTP are the same as in any other standard Evolution baccarat version.
You can select one of three main bets, Player, Banker, or a Tie, and they pay as follows:
- Player: 1:1
- Banker: 0.95:1
- Tie: 8:1
The theoretical RTP is 98.94%. However, each bet has a different optimal RTP percentage.
| Bet Type | RTP |
| Player | 98.76% |
| Banker | 98.94% |
| Tie | 89.42% |
Remember this: The Banker bet has the highest RTP and, in theory, it wins slightly more often than the Player. But it comes with a 5% commission. So it pays less.
Side Bets in Baccarat Squeeze
Besides the standard Player, Banker, and Tie bets, Baccarat Squeeze also offers several optional side bets for players who want bigger payouts and more excitement.
Player Pair
The Player Pair bet wins if the Player’s first two cards form a pair, such as two Kings or two 8s.
This side bet pays 11:1.
Banker Pair
The Banker Pair works the same way. You win if the Banker’s first two cards are a pair.
This bet also pays 11:1.
Perfect Pair
Some casinos also enable the Perfect Pair side bet. This wins if the first two cards are identical in both value and suit.
- One Perfect Pair pays 25:1
- Two Perfect Pairs pay 200:1
Either Pair
The Either Pair side bet wins if either the Player or Banker hand forms a pair.
This bet pays 5:1.
Player Bonus & Banker Bonus
These side bets pay when the winning hand wins by a large margin or with a Natural 8 or 9. Bigger winning margins lead to bigger payouts.
Are Side Bets Worth It?
Side bets offer much bigger payouts, but they are also more volatile and have a lower RTP than the standard Player or Banker bets.
For most players, side bets are best used occasionally for extra excitement rather than as a main betting strategy.
Red Envelope Bonus
To make baccarat games more attractive, with higher payouts, Evolution has introduced the Red Envelope feature. This is a bonus that can be generated randomly to boost Tie, Player Pair, and Banker Pair payouts up to 88x.
Up to three Red Envelopes can be generated per round, which sounds really great. But, unfortunately, this bonus isn’t available at all casinos. So, check the game rules or watch a few rounds first to see if it’s there.
Pros and Cons of Baccarat Squeeze
- Excellent RTP of 98.94%
- Classic baccarat rules are simple and beginner-friendly
- Authentic Macau-style squeeze experience
- Multiple side bets for extra excitement
- Available on desktop and mobile devices
- Slower gameplay than Speed Baccarat
- No multipliers on the main Player or Banker bets
- Side bets have lower RTP and higher volatility
Look & Feel
The thing that sets Baccarat Squeeze apart from other similar games is not just the squeezing of cards. It’s also more than 15 cameras and multiple camera angles that capture every moment of the action.
The focus is, of course, the squeeze. You’ll truly enjoy this unique game ritual performed by the dealer, as every detail is captured in a series of captivating HD close-ups, offering a true cinematic experience. Every detail is there, including the dealer’s fingers and every millimetre of the card.
Baccarat Squeeze vs Other Live Baccarat Games
If you’re still not sure if this is the right game for you, I’ll compare it with other popular variants of baccarat. Hopefully, this comparison will give you the answer.
Baccarat Squeeze vs Baccarat Control Squeeze
Both games include squeezing; it’s obvious. But in Baccarat Control Squeeze, you’re controlling it, not the dealer.
Cards are also dealt face down, but the dealer places them on the glass panel inlays, designed specifically for this game. The cards are visible, but only partially, because optical filters and overlay masks cover them. When you click any corner of a card, you peel back the overlay, which lets you peek at the card.
Everything else, including bet types, payouts, and RTP, is identical in both games. So, if you prefer to squeeze and peek at cards yourself, choose this version.
Baccarat Squeeze vs Peek Baccarat
Evolution has another thrilling baccarat variant that also lets you peek at cards: Peek Baccarat. The rules are the same as in standard baccarat, but in this game, you can peek at one, two, three, or even all four cards during live action. If the cards you see look promising, you can choose to increase your wager. The expanding betting grid allows you to double or triple your initial bet during gameplay.
Another difference between Peek Baccarat and Baccarat Squeeze is that Peek Baccarat has a 20% fee on Player and Banker bets. You pay this fee to be able to peek at cards. Also, the RTP in Peek Baccarat is lower than in Baccarat Squeeze – 98.80% – but Peek Baccarat offers an additional side bet, Either Pay, that pays 5:1.
“Baccarat Squeeze is less volatile than multiplier baccarat games because it focuses on atmosphere instead of boosted payouts”

What’s My Opinion on Prosperity Tree Baccarat?
Do you sometimes think that the rounds in baccarat end too quickly without a real show? The good news – you’re not alone. I also occasionally feel the pace is too fast, and the gameplay is a bit flat.
Luckily for us, Baccarat Squeeze spices things up nicely and delivers true drama with its squeezing ritual. Live dealers reveal the final card slowly, showing the edges. This way, they intentionally build anticipation, which makes a difference.
I really like this version of baccarat because it keeps you on the edge of your seat as you wait for that final card to decide whether your balance will get a nice top-up. However, the squeeze part can drag out the round a bit, especially if the third-card rule kicks in.
Best suited for:
- Casual baccarat players who enjoy a quiet game
- Beginners looking for good baccarat gameplay with side bets
