Roulette multipliers are always in demand, be it Lightning Roulette by Evolution or Quantum Roulette by Playtech. Launched in 2021, XL Roulette is Authentic’s way of entering the roulette multiplier market. Authentic Gaming’s staff was able to build a game that appealed to a wide range of players, from those who prefer to play it cautious and slow to those who prefer high-risk, high-reward releases.
In this XL Roulette review, we will find out what all this game has in store for you. Let’s begin!
XL Roulette is not like the usual multiplier roulettes which boost the straight-up number bets. Instead, this game offers four different playing options. With each option, the risk and the reward keep on increasing. How this happens is that pay-outs on straight-up numbers are reduced while the chances of getting a multiplier are increased.
Where to play XL Roulette
The game is streamed from Authentic’s state-of-art studio in Malta and uses a live auto roulette wheel. Players can switch between the four different modes before each spin.
The four modes of playing are the Standard Mode, XL Roulette, XXL Roulette, and XXXL Roulette. Let’s see what these modes are about:
- The standard option is the same as your regular European roulette. No multipliers, standard paytables, and straight numbers being paid at 35:1.
- XL Roulette has 1-5 multipliers, max payout at 500x, and payout of 29:1 on straight-up bets.
- XXL mode has 2-8 multipliers, max payout at 500x, and payout of 23:1.
- The last mode, XXXL mode has the highest multiplier of 3-11, max payout at 500x and 17:1 straight-up bets payout.
How to Play XL Roulette
In order to start playing, you will need to select one of the playing options. Now you will be able to place your bets. If you want to place bets on multiplier numbers you will have to place straight up bets only.
When you get the playing options, you get two options: Bet All and Straight-Up bets. Bet all bets on all straight-up numbers and straight-up will convert any inside or outside bet into a straight-up bet.
Once the bets have been placed, the lucky number selection is done now. There is a screen behind the live dealer which shows eleven number slots in three lines. The RNG chooses the number of lucky numbers which appear for each playing option. The RNG also selects the numbers and multipliers for each value as well.
Now the dealer will spin the wheel. Whatever number wins, it is displayed on the screen behind the dealer and if you win pay-outs are displayed to you as well.
Game modes
As mentioned previously, there are four modes in the game. These modes are discussed below:
Details | Standard Mode | XL Roulette | XXL Roulette | XXXL Roulette |
Straight Payout | 35:1 | 29:1 | 23:1 | 17:1 |
Multipliers | No multipliers | 1-5 | 2-8 | 3-11 |
Max up straight-up payout | All European Roulette Payouts | 500x | 500x | 500x |
Game Payouts
Players can review the outcomes of past rounds on extensive statistics history. You can go back up to 500 rounds in the past. There, you’ll see the winning numbers, as well as whether or not they came with a multiplier. This can aid in the development of long-term strategies or identify a trend that you can capitalize on.
XL Roulette significantly incentivizes players to play straight number bets due to the multipliers. Regardless of the method you choose, you can place all normal roulette bets. Members of the casino can choose between inside and outside bets.
Outside wagers are a safer bet. Even money bets cover about half of the roulette wheel. Red/Black, Odd/Even, and 1-18/19-36 are the wagers available. When you win, they pay you 1:1. Column and dozen bets, which cover twelve numbers instead of eighteen, are also available. They have a 2:1 payout since they are significantly riskier.
Strategy
If you think about it there aren’t any strategies that would ensure winnings for you every time you play. However, there are some strategies that could ensure you are able to play better and maximize your winnings.
The multipliers in the game are designed in such a way that tempts you to pick more and more numbers and try your luck out. This is where you lose the most. The best strategy would be to not run behind the multipliers and focus only on winning the round. If you are really tempted to try multipliers, maybe you could treat them as multipliers.
How you could do that is that you play the normal bets and then play 5 straight-up bets on the last option which is XL Roulette. This gives a return of 29:1 and yet manages to pay all odds on your other bets.
Always keep a check on the statistics of how many times the multipliers come in. In this way, you get an idea of the possible returns.
